    The 4 Horsemen

*A cult worships their leader who is alive and well. A religion worships the same guy except he is dead.

I don't understand why ambushing a human is good? You still need to send ~70% of the offence they sent but only get 50% of the land?

Either way I think Havoc is in a strong position with their science. Look like they have also won the cow fight

That's gotta hurt Gene. 70% of 104% is nothing.

Ambush means they forgot to war spoil, which means that peasants will die to overpop when you hit them. and additionally they will be even more overpopped when they get half as much land in as they anticipated.

Also your question implicitly takes for granted that they could be doing something better with the offense. However it's certainly feasible that you could have enough to safely ambush + hit, but not quite enough to double tap. So ambushing is the best use in that scenario....

Let's speculate. - in ghetto tactics one may build a suicide/meat-shield province to draw attacks. Funneling enemy offense in predictable corridors clarifies a number of options. This may be a refined version of the meat-shield gambit in that humans require no build variation to achieve similar results. - Or I could be wrong and they're drunk conspirators.
