Just for attacks. You have Crime & Channeling which increase your thieves' and wizzards' efficiency science-wise for T/Ms (whether an thievery or magic op succeeds or not is calculated mainly based on your and your target's modified wpa/tpa = wizards per acre/thieves per acre, and the Crime & Channeling sciences provide modifiers for these).
