I think its lame if you leave your KD mates hanging, tehy count on you as you count on them. Even if you disagree with a choice your leadership makes, this does not entitle you to do wahtever you want. Solve it internally and play as the leadership wants to. Build your own KD if you disagree with certain choices.

In practice, people seem to think differently; hence, the lack of precedent for waving into EowCF and claiming hostile relations. To my knowledge, it has never happened before. For a good reason, too.

I'd have to say it's an either/or situation, you cannot have it both ways, either both stealing and attacks are permissible or they're both wrong.

That said, we are confounding to issues here: one regards morality, the other validity of conflict.

I would have to disagree here as well, since the game rules have no opinion on the validity of such conflict the only thing that matters is the morals of the kingdoms involved, if you believe interfering with somebody's recovery the attacking/stealing into postwarcf is wrong and the conflict is not valid, or you believe that eowcf is not a protected state and that interfering is perfectly ok and then such actions would generate a valid conflict.

Obviously, stealing from KD A does not make you protected from KD B.

1) Don't get me wrong here, but what you say matters little: in practice, that is the (socially constructed) rule.

2) The difference matters precisely through the aforementioned statement: the morality of an action is essentially an individual viewpoint, the validity of a conflict is essentially decided at the collective level and to a large extent shaped by power. In other words, moral systems are not necessarily aligned with rule systems - the former constitute normative, ostensive - often plurastic and contradicting - ideas about how the game should be played, the latter constitute descriptive, formative - typically singular - expressions of how the game is actually played. That said, moralities and moral perspectives of course take part in shaping the ultimate rules by which the game is played - but they are indeed distinct phenomena.
