    How much thieves to send

How much thieves to send to get max gains from a thief op? like stealing resources, arson, sabotage wizzards, and other complicated thief op. I've heard or read something about over sending thieves make it much prone to failure than success :( I just don't get that part shouldn't it be the other way around? the more thieves you send the more chance an op should be success.

I've read the wiki and found this

Optimal Thieves to Send = (Opponents' Resources * Max % Of Total) / Gains Per Thief / Racial Mod

like if the opponent has 500,000 gc so it will go like this?

Optimal Thieves to Send = 500,000 * 0.052 / 40 / ?what is the factor for racial mode? if halflings should I divide this by 0.5 or 2?

An easy way to estimate it is to use angel's thievery calculator.

I'm pretty sure Angel's thief calc is way outdated.

The formula in the wiki isn't totally accurate to my knowledge, but it will definitely give you a good idea of what you do need to send.

In your example, any non-human/avian would indeed send
    500000*.052/40 = 650 thieves for max gains

As far as humans/avian (who have the +sabo gains [+thievery effectiveness raises your mod tpa, not thief gains]), I'm like 75% sure that they don't need to send more/less thieves because I'm pretty sure their +sabo bonus not only increases their gains per thief, but it also raises the cap limit. Someone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong about that.
