A strategy my kd has used to great effect this age is the "halfling nuke"
Our 5 halflings work on growing conservatively in the first day of war - pick up acres and thieve peasants to fill pop. While simultaneously dumping 2dspa worth of specs into dragon, emergency drafts are employed to build up satellite soldier armies. This process continues through the first 2-3 waves until a massive soldier pop is established. Barring any nightmares or NS (hard to do on halflings effectively), the soldiers are then transferred to the largest grown halfling to use to take down TMs. This strategy has effectively been the final winning strat for us in a good portion of our wars, aside from the usual deep/semi-chaining of large attackers.
I wonder if halflings will remain this strong into the next age.
