Folks just need a break once in a while. You can't stop now, I'm trying to take the age off to relearn some rpg in nerd RL.
Giving faery generals is making this really tough. I'm freaking out over here for a faery warrior. So no funny talk. All the changes are cool and all the people that complain are just attention mongers. Thx.
    * didn't have time for troll forensics as I read this on my break *

I did have a real convo with Bishop not that long ago where it was discussed. I told him wifey and me would get happy and this utopian addiction can finaly come to an end.
Utopia is more or less not profitable enough for all the work it takes to keep it up. The game has been dying for a long time and from my perspective it would really be good if it came to an end at least under current administration. I would still hang out on utonet, maybe try other games and enjoy the good old enviroment. I guess Simians goes out crownless and makes it goal of being persistant little ghetto that refused to die out.
Mission accomplished. R.I.P utopia. I be suprised if the game lives on for more then 2 ages.

How did you get Anri's password? Where is the real Anri? :)

Seriously, this is the best post I think you have ever made. Poeple should pay attention because you speak the truth about the dim utopian future.

People have been saying that for the past 10 years and it's still here.

People been saying so. I have not until now thou Flutterby.

[19:44:49] <Bishop> i am considerign leaving the game also, im sick of all the bull****
[19:45:09] <Anri|afk> it gets worse and worse
[19:45:14] <Anri|afk> i think you should leave it
[19:45:25] <Anri|afk> let it die and let all of us move on
[19:45:30] <Bishop> when i leave the game closes down
[19:45:37] <Anri|afk> some players like me cant quit playing until it closes down
[19:45:44] <Anri|afk> so you do me and my wife a favour
    [19:45:45] <Bishop> :
    [19:45:46] <Bishop> :p
[19:45:54] <Anri|afk> my wife will love you if you kill the game
    [19:45:56] <Anri|afk> and me too
    [19:45:57] <Anri|afk> haha
[19:46:19] <Anri|afk> but honestly, i love the game. But right now i see no way of saving it
[19:46:46] <Anri|afk> if another age like this goes down its better utopia dies before that with grace
[19:47:10] <Bishop> if the devs dont reinvest time in it it wont last much longer
[19:48:40] <Anri|afk> And thats not likely to happen. No point in reinvest into utopia. It should have died years ago and everyone knows this day is coming
[19:48:49] <Anri|afk> Its like not putting down a dying dog that is hurting
    [19:49:05] <Anri|afk> its very cruel

I am not trolling and this is a honest discussion as far as i can tell.
Not rly sure if i should really post this convo/logg but oh well.
I like to keep things straight and true.

    Don't die - I just came back!

Can I offer my insight as someone who has been completely away from the game for half a decade and who wasn't/isn't interested in the politics of it anyway? The one thing that has stood out to me in the two months I've been back is how much bickering and depression there is around these forums. Everyone is always complaining about everything. You're complaining about the game potentially ending but you're complaining about the changes and saying you want to quit. It's a free game. Make up your mind. Not to mention the incessant arguments about deal-breaking this, and he called me that, and farming them. This is a war game - why make CF's and stuff anyway? Surely it's a) against the spirit of the game, and b) asking for trouble anyway? And everyone seems to hate that kind of deal-breaking stuff happens to them yet they do it to everyone else, and you all seem so depressed.

Cheers up; this is an awesome game that has existed for more than a decade. There are so many ways to play it and there's loads of variety. Enjoy it. You all obviously love this game or you wouldn't spend so much time around here. Maybe people will start coming back and playing if the more senior players here are more welcoming and friendly instead of just this constant bickering and doom-and-gloom that seems to pervade around here.

More whining now than complaining. Used to be more passion.

I don't see why the game should close if Bishop wants a break and leaves. It's not like there couldn't be another Game Support. Ok it's a thankless task, I'm sure, but there's always someone (maniac or not) who is willing to take on a thankless task :)

When the game ends everything will be done via paper and USPS mail and sent to my address for processing where I will skew everything in my favor.

    not really, but seriously.

The game needs a visual aspect. Too many spoiled kids these days are used to special effects in games and what not. Only us old-timers and true nerds enjoy the aspects of a true text based RPG and the interaction of the players it attracts.
