Age 60 Prelim Power Rankings

Based on the proposed Age 60 changes. Hope they fix halfer (and dwarf).

Included below is my "config" - it is late and I did these fast, so I may have an error in them - find it and I'll fix it (in 16ish hours).

Remember, this measures only military strength on a fairly heavy attacker. Econ and T/M ability are not measured - not all races *should* have the same numbers, hybrid and T/M races should rank lower (92-95% hybrid, 88-92% T/M, based on previous age's races). And of course, any "one number" analysis makes tons of assumptions - many of which might not apply to your kingdom. Use as a guideline number only!

Im not 100% sure but i think he effectively takes all the races, gives them x TPA, y WPA, Z peasents/acre. Then places all remaining population into a offense/defense and relates that to nw.

Effectively the way to read his stuff is who can run the highest mod off as a pure attacker.

Persain just gave a great summery of what this does, actually. Subtleties like mWPA and mTPA, account for BE, account for TW (though I've wondered about removing that), assign typical "fairly good" mid age sci, mod by sci mods, etc. But at heart - take race, figure out how much military, split for a 2:1 off/def ratio, calculate total military per NW. (I can run the numbers at a 1:2 off:def, or even 100% def, but meh - that just tells us faery/elf/halfer are valid UB and make decent T/Ms. You don't need me to figure that out.)

Dwarf and UD climb, no great shakeups otherwise. Since no-one really seems to care either I'll just dump it to the same thread:

i also appreciate your work ethan (and your posts as generally they are well grounded). still digesting how a halfer is more powerful than orc/ud though. seems a power 5 attacker with +10% pop makes it effectively a 5.5 power attacker, still less than power 7 elites of ud/orc. perhaps i am missing something tho?

He assumes a 2/1 offense/def and orc get penalized from the 1 def value of elite.
Now the tricky part on halflings is army distribution, finding the sweet spot between o specs, d specs? and elites. On paper though it's definitely the best attacking race but i feel a large % of people will fail to play correct. The more traditional attacker races are much safer choice.
