    Human Merchant Strategy

I was Dwarf Sage last age, doing the strategy SirVanir gave in the thread dwarf/sage attacker military (that I can not link to you yet, due to this being my first post in years!)

Where I ran with 20-25% homes, had a 146.7% BE and was basically unbreakable at the end of the age in our last two wars.

Now that they took the extra def points from the elites, I figured I would try Human Merchant this age, see if I could do a similar tactic as sage, but by overwhelming gold production to buy books instead of just making the books cheaper. The idea was that during war I could switch from book buying to dragon buying.

    I am running OOW
    20% Homes
10% Farms (until I get more food sci)
    20% Banks
    15% Armories
    15% Forts
    10% Guilds
    10% Towers (ToG is AWESOME!)

Using my same tactic of overwhelming productivity to out produce the thieves and mages during war, what kind of war build would you use?

I'm looking for various different ideas, and honestly there is no wrong answer. I just want to know how you would/are plan for a human merchant during war?

there is only 1 thing i can say. Draft on the highest level you can pheasibly afford during war. If there is ever a decision to not train everything in war because you cant afford leets, dont train leets. Theyre 3x the price for 1.5x the offence in comparison with o specs.

For an oow build, I'd try to fit some more guilds in there to pump some wizards.

    Crease,

I agree. Especially being Merchants get +50% more specialist and building credits, it would make sense to train elites out of war and train specialists during war. I do think though that I should be able to afford paying for elites most of the time. I am really curious how much gold Ill be able to generate per tick in a couple weeks.

What war build would you suggest for a human merchant? Im looking for building percentages with a brief explanation for your choices.

It will 100% depend on your kds caliber, opponent, and your size in the kd. If you just want a standard war build for an average human attacker copy the start of war build for an orc. It wont be optimized but humans require incredibly fine tinkering based on the factors i listed to really maximize their effectiveness at war.

its all dependent on the stage u r in and the opponent u r fighting... r u a single province or a group of same race.. do u war or grow... u need to give more details... every situation requires a different approach and tactic..
