    Bounces and Casaulties

    How many casaulties do people suffer when you bounce (% amount). Does anyone have rough estimate percentage how much less than when you are successful? Can you bounce wave someone down in war until they breakable with 6 or so provinces hitting them or is the losses going to be too low?

    i am not sure of percentages but i could refer you to the "simians v/s pew pew" thread and you can look at what happened to ovenmitt. yes a bounce wave can be very effective.

    If you can do it before the war, that's ideal. If you're in war you might want to make sure you've got one general with acres coming in to avoid chain damage.

    I was told once, and I have nothing to back it up with; The casualties for bounces are calculated based on the % to the break, doubled for attacker, halfed for defender.
    So lets say on a clean break you'd lose 100 and kill 100.
    If your bounce as 80% of the required offense, you'd lose 160 and kill 40.

    Now that I use real examples, that seems like its off...

    Casualties are based on how many troops fight from both sides. So if you send 100 and the oponent has 1k. You will lose a percentage of 100 and your oponent a percent of 100 as well (not of 1k)
    If you wanna take down somenone and your attackers are not in risk, CQs work ok

    I don't know the numbers but yes, bounce waves can work well. Especially if you use all available mods : pitfalls, bribe general, orcs + bloodlust.

    My recollection is it's linear with max kills being 20% of a trad.
