The world hated the US before we invaded Iraq.
The world hated the US before we invaded Iraq.
Weirdly, I think the world has hated the US since around Pearl Harbour.
Strange, because on sad, deluded arrogant pricks, you're no worse than most countries per capita.
And it's not like you should have lost that little skirmish or the euro cup either.
I didn't say people hating us made it ok.
You said that people hated us because we invaded Iraq and that's not true. People already hated us.
Maybe one of us can get a TED TV gig and explain our Fair Play Alliance to solve world problems :-)
I was planning to make an analogy of what others would do if we invaded Mexico, but then I watched a show about us stealing away a wrecked alien spacecraft across the border. It was History Channel so it must be true.
love that thick mahogany back with no belly carve or anything...pure thick wood ! The thing ROCK is made of !

soooo on a related note. did anyone see the poll on cnn.com about who the top 5 countries are that could win WWIII? china was first. Usa 2nd. as an american that kind of scares me. i like watching porn. if china took over the world i would have to buy my midget porn off of the black market. also something about china going to war with japan over some oil rich islands. the USA has a treaty with japan where we would have to step in to help them and russia would step in to help china. then BOOM. everyone is screwed but mexico.(no one wants mexico).
EDIT: also didnt we shot some missiles or something into syria to help out?

All for one and one for Chrystal!!
Where in my post did I disrespect anyone serving in the army? I'm saying that the unilateral decision to invade, using made-up evidence of WMD, was a big political mistake. And I still don't see how killing the authority of organizations like UN wasn't a mistake in the long run.
Corruption is a serious impediment to civil liberties.
I think there is some fear that you ignore military conquest of one area and they then do the same thing to another area.
My life is better then yours.
*yawn*
Crimea will at best end up an autonomous region in the Ukraine with a clear path way to succeed and join the Russian federation.Which if proportional democracy is introduced, can be avoided.
Edit: The succession can be. ;)
All other solutions have no pathway in international law/politics.
At worst, it just succeeds unilaterally to the Russian federation based on a slight majority and people can lever it a bit.

Ukraine is a poor country but it is resource rich. Hence the mega corporations want to exploit its resource. It has some of the richest soil in the world and europe, a special type of rich black soil that only occurs in 2-3 places in the whole world and this is the only easily accessible one that isn't water logged in the tropics.
Frankly I don't feel it is our fight. I am not even sure why the USSR dissolved. I understood it collapsed but the public details do not add up to me.
IMO, Russia hass the right to take all of Ukraine right now, the president, democratically elected by the people, went to Russia if he wants Russia army to invade and reinstall him as the leader, he has the right to do so. If the president of mexico was overthrown in a popular uprising and begged the usa to reinstall him, I'd have no issue sending in us troops to do the job. To protect democracy.
