Hey quick question. Does the chance of spreading the plague change depending on your attack being successful vs your attack being unsuccessful? Also, what about the % of offense you send - would oversending give you a higher chance of spreading your zombie-herps? Is there a % success rate for plague spread?

There is a 20% chance of getting the plague for successful attacks. It can be contracted on bounces and my first thought was that there is a reduction in the chance of this occurring but I can not find anything that backs this, so I assume the 20% applies here too.
Over sending does not change this probability.
