Ambush Calc for Elf

There is a certain ambush calculator everyone uses but i suspect that it is off in calculating for elves and i dont know how to calculat ambushes the hard way. Can someone check?

Raw military sent *.8 < raw offense sent => break

For elfs that should be
use [# solds + (raw # off specs *5)+(raw # leets *3)]*.8

When calculating own offense dont count ME, or warrior bonus, or generals bonus just pure #'s like orc= 7 off.

If i'm off/wrong about off specs counting as 5 on defense then replace 5 with 4

elf offspecs use 5 points when defending ambush (and halfling offspecs use 4 points when defending ambush).

it's stupid but it is one of those things that are useful for attacking elves.

Elf is 5/4 not 5/3.

So 1+(Ospecs*5+Leets*4)*.8 is the required raw off.

Zilyana that doesnt help at all. I am elf and i just failed another ambush on an elf using the celtic site so can someone please check it and tell me how off it is.

Yes. Looks like it is assuming Elf elites are 3 when it is actually 4.

How hard was the math? :)

(soldiers * 1 + offspecs * 5 + elites * 4) * 0.8

round up to the nearest whole number.

has not failed once with correct intel gathering.

Anyways, you have to be sure to send 2.5% over the defense for complete success. I use 2.5% for a margin of error. If you don't, then you could fail. Make sure it is at the "big happy" face before sending troops. If your offense is within the 2.5% margin of error, then prepare to have the ambush fail sometimes. I've had to explain this to a few others as well, so don't feel bad.

Multiply the number of each sent by the defense value they have then multiply by 0.8

keltic is wrong for i believe 2 races this age

That's why below 2.5% but over 0% is within the margin of error, which it is possible that it will still fail. I have a "happy face" denoting that fact in the ambush calculator.

Oh sorry, I wanted to clarify that I did not create Keltic's, mine is Jillian's Ambush Calculator (also works on mobile phones if you wanted to ambush on the go).
