    Best Combo for Solo Growth

Assuming no KD to support you with aid for doubling up etc, what would be the best race/per combo to grow massive in a ghetto, hitting aprox 10K acres by EOA.

Right now I'm thinking human / sage with the +10% pop and +50% sci (even if it does cost more) and ofcourse ToG. If through some wars early you are able to secure some honour to bolster pop/sci even further I can see this being very strong later.

Seriously, Bishop needs to take a look at that. Human is WAY OP currently. I get that they are going to be incredibly high nw/a, but they're still going to be best turtle / best attacking econ. 50% science cost isn't even a big deal. The extra population you get more than covers the cost, and there is ToG.

he did say the numbers were going to be tweaked, and they wanted comments more on the direction they were taking things (concepts) and less on the specifics of the numbers themselves

I like dwarf/merch for solo ghetto growth. Dwarf mills to reduce sol cost for exploring and ToG to crank out elites. With the change to forts, going to have to see what a forts/tg's combo looks like instead of cookie cutter TGs

Forts are still bad for attackers.

If I may, the thinking behind the changes may have been aimed at encouraging growth. The more organized war kingdoms attracted to certain advantages may be swooned into some atypical exploration. The undead aren't nerfed as much as not providing a sure thing that many control freaks desire. I know lower tier undead merchants went merrily to snapping heads off early last age to convert.
I don't look too hard at what is or isn't considered efficient until I see the population distribution in ranking. I usually choose something that effects the weakness of the popular choices if I'm granted the freedom to build what I want.
