I'm kinda surprised Dwarf is liked so much. I played dwarf this past age, and +75% food consumption was a hassle to deal with. +100% is actually quite a bit more. I guess it's easy to ask for aid, especially since people always have food available. I'm kinda surprised I didn't have vermin on me all the time haha.

Rogue was unpopular this age so vermin was rare; my argument for sage this age goes the same for science hog slaying.

I'm not sure what my favorite would be. LL have to look and vote later.

rob granaries is really cheap and makes up for temporary food shortfalls.

dwarf is kind of cruddy still but the ops bonus is a really good situational bonus.

humans are being slightly overrated. the cost to pump is harsh enough that it will take a week-long pump to get them fully ready, and the sci penalty bleeds away pretty large amounts of cash at intensive+. they're still really good, but not very durable with the buffs to t/m.

still think orcs, halfers, faes, and elves do well next age too.

For what it is worth, we ran all age without ever science pumping, basically fort or war all age. With 5 wins our average BPA is 1400 and our sage province is sitting on 1700. That is why I think people (myself at least) discount that +50% costs penalty - you can get enough BPA without ever going past active science.

What sick, depraved lunatic chose Avian?

The fact that anyone chose anything other than faery is astounding.
