This post will contain a gloaty part and a preachy part.
The gloaty:
You guys started with:
- two more provinces (three at the start actually, but most of the war it was 22-24)
- more peasants
- WAY more science
- more troops
- more networth
- more acres
- knowledge of our strat
- "a developing strategist of epic potential"
- hubris and arrogance:
"We will take them apart even if we force an auto WD."

The preachy:
You guys arent the first spanning your Mission Accomplished banner over your aircraft carrier, and then being assholes about it. We've done this dance many times before. And as if im some Good Manners Evangelist im going to say it again:
treat your opponents with respect.
Even if youre winning, even if you know it is in the bag because the opponent has no more aces left to play:
treat your opponents with respect.
Imagine if we were really losing, and we'd have to read through all this ****. Being publicly humiliated. Players likely leaving, because they'd have lost all the fun. How is that sportsmanship? Why cant you win with grace?
Sometimes our beaten foes would respond to this charge: "we were just messing around, we were just having a bit of fun, it was just harmless, we didnt mean to be mean". Who cares about your intentions? Its about how the other party interprets your words, not about your supposed (and unlikely) well meaning.
Try the golden rule a little. Show respect, grace, sportmanship. If you must be a blowhard about beating another KD, then do it in the confines of your own IRC channel/forum/chat. Allow your opponent to lose with their dignity in tact. Dont be "that asshole KD" that spawns grudges and bad reputation due to some poisonous trashtalking.

1 Part A- Sending sapphire pre-war. That was not anywhere near our intent. We had recruited a new province due to a suggestion of someone else in the KD. We had the dragon funded to 1gc, he was mostly inactive and decided to send it.
--so worse than just being inactive, he basically slayed 1/2 a dragon FOR you.
1 Part B - On top of that, it caused you guys to wave us into button. That was also not part of the strategy. In fact, we play a very similar strategy. We were going to take down your faeries and elves and halflings first like we've learned to do. Given all those advantages you listed above - this would have been quite easy.
1 Part C - Lastly, he was an inactive sitting on 2million gc. I'm not sure if you guys took advantage of that, but I'm sure you did. Easy to fund 1/2 your 2nd dragon.
2 - 2nd mistake. Due to most of the things said in part 1, we decided to take advantage of your suicidal humans first. Since your attack times were 16hrs (pre-war times) we all could make a hit and return in time for wave 2. Wave 2 was SUPPOSED to follow the initial strategy...take down the elves, faery, and halflings. Again - this would have been easy...but not sure what happened, maybe i didn't log in again in time but suddenly we were chaining a human somewhere. So in order to 'follow through' we kept with it hoping that the dragon (which somehow hadn't already been slain) and our TMs, who had recover many acres from the pre-war waves could control. Meeni was confident in his elf slicing skills and I assumed our other halflings were doing just fine, too. (The elves had about 2 raw tpa pre-war, they got a lot of WTs throughout the war -- good on them).
3 - Then, We had you down 1.2mil NW lower and you were steadily dropping, while we were steadily growing. At this point, our strategy had converted to basically take out all of your attackers entirely. They were sitting on very low offense and even lower defense (some at 500-5K), our halflings were containing your elves to some extent on pez. Soon all of our attackers would be UB. Then another big mistake, because I'm a noob - I cancelled the Gold Dragon hoping to create a cheaper one. We had already started funding it, but it would still have been cheaper since you rode the sapphire so long. Then I get the message saying that we can't. So we were force to slay 3 dragons (full strength) while you were force to slay/ride out 1.5 dragons. Not because of anything you did, but because I'm a total noob and because another new province messed up pre-war. Not only would have the first dragon given you a lot more trouble to slay, but the 3rd dragon (the gold) would have put you in a terrible position. In order to slay, you'd have to send out elves -- then we could break you. If you kept it, your wts, runes, forts, guilds all drop efficiency HARD - they were already somewhat low 60-85% BE. But a Gold would have shut down your economy entirely, something that - at the time - was established in our KD. I was growing out of NW range and funding soldiers/gc to the entire kingdom pumping everyone -- our other big attackers were getting to that point as well. Gold would have just made it easier.
3 - The suicide slay. Was a typo. I literally thought I was sending 950 troops, and sent out 9500 instead. We could've slayed that gold JUST as fast, but w/o a suicide. This would have put your KD with a gold you could ride out and suffer no econ while our KD pumped (at the time we were growing in NW). OR you could slay it and suffer chains to your elves/faery. Either way, we would have been able to finish the job.
If things had played out like they were supposed to have been played out, yes - we were winning. But mistake after mistake after mistake cost us severely in relatively large magnitudes each time. Those mistakes had nothing to do with your kingdom, your ideas, or your strategy. They were 100% results of noobiness from me and clutziness from me. So my KD mates were right in saying how they felt, because it was true. If anything, YOU'RE taking pride in beating a KD that was 14 active provinces last age, suddenly banded together, led by a very new monarch, had made insanely HUGE mistakes, not keeping alarms/bots/irc (speaking of this, your kd was really good at figuring out our sleep schedules - good on you, but a bit creepy), only 15 upoopu users so missing 40% of our self-intel, and some people loggin in only 1x or 2x a day ON THEIR PHONES.
It's like saying -- hey we're a pro all male volleyball team, let's go play against that team of co-ed B rated team -- oh man looks like a couple of them are in wheelchairs and crutches. Winning by a pretty small margin. Then bragging about it.
I wouldn't think you needed to feel so important. And honestly, I really thought you were something special. I sent you messages to get to know you etc -- I had MUCH more luck with the rest of you KD mates who are actually nice, wanted to chat, and I got to meet them. I honestly can't believe that you would post something like this (with pride) after all I've done was congratulate you in the forums, be excited to meet you and your KD, get to know you guys, and talk about the game.
So...with all of that said. I ask YOU to please be respectful since I've shown nothing but respect for you and your kingdom. If that is the message you preach, please practice the words.

This was actually fun to read, in regard to the events this age. FREE could take a bit of their own advice...
What mistakes are you referring to exactly? I think you seem to have missed the point.
Off the top of my head:
-Piece of garbage noob sends drake to you guys in unfriendly
-We jumped into war before we should have
-Dragon suicide
-Dragon cancel
-Massacring your Elves instead of land dropping them (original orders were to land drop them, not sure why that changed)
There are other smaller ones, but those were the big ones that I remember. Like I said in the war forum, no disrespect to your kd because you all did very well, especially your elves and faery, but our execution completely and totally sucked.
We knew how to beat you. We were in position to beat you. We just completely and totally failed when we needed to.
