You know what's funny - I get a couple messages asking me why "Palem" is dragon hostile out so long...lmao

(If only they had read our forums and saw that Palem was actively supporting -- among most others -- to get the show on the road sooner). It felt like only Meeni and I wanted to wait. I mean - we Fb'd like 3 provinces below 1K pez in that time among other things...that said, their elves were able to train up a little. We had dragon sitting at 1gc for forever waiting to send once war started and one of our new guys sent it prematurely - lol. In response to that, they decided to wave us. Fortunately, most of us were online at the time since we were going to wave them the very next tick anyway, this just made it better because they hit us for 16hr attack times, we hit button, wave them for 13hr (or less) attack times, then wave them again

Looking at their upo info - it sort of looks like we nuked them. No gc, no pez, troops dying everywhere. But you're right they ARE smacking our tms around a bit. So we'll see

And...who's "FREE?" Is that some ancient KD? I joined last age so I'm still learning who everyone is...

Anyway, good luck guys. FREE usually does a smash'n'grab in the couple waves I've seen. They can be very stubborn so I advise politeness even if you're dominating. I knew they started dragons vs msg as a simpler approach to negotiating.

No offense to you all but we warred Free last age and it was quite similar in stats. Free then after smashing our Tms tore our attackers to shreds due to empty acres. Our Tms became worthless and we ended the war. All the same there is no victory til there is a surrender.

When you waved us, you were pumped to like 75%+ with homes vs our <60% for most provs. Taking it to war immediately meant certain loss

I don't see anything FREE is not comfortable with so far. What is Nightmare going to do about those God damn Elves that's the question. Nightmare Halfers does look pretty healthy, it'll be interesting to see how well they can disrupt FBs

Also I wouldn't say FREE is stubborn, they just plan to war for 2 weeks when a normal KD expects 2 days which usually results in the other KD having nothing to back them up longterm except shelled out attackers.

I will say though - that though Palem/Meeni/Osaze/RattleHead/Ivana and others DO provide extremely important strategic advice, they usually end up forcing me to make the decisions. It's great for learning!! And I still have a LONG way to go. Maybe I'm not the real strategy behind the act -- but what I am good at is understanding the needs of my KD and aiming to find that balance/compromise to provide not only fuel for the minds, but also synthesis of their combined council into one cohesive force.

My KD mates deserve all the credit - in every way

This is why he is the King and not me. Also, yeah they are playing the long game, but we see that and are turning that to an advantage. No worries, every strat has a counter.

You'd think I was a patient player from supporting a delay to the button, but I'm nowhere near patient; It's something I practice that turns my stomach in Utopia.
For instance, my offense was incapable of breaking most all Spartans with army home, but had no reservations going to war.

From reviewing the kingdom pages I would suggest you perceive FREE nw alignment to the bottom 2/3rds of the standard AMA setup. Minus the cows, the elf contingent is arranged in such a way. Since I've played a great deal of elf hybrid I know how durable they can be.
If I were running a gap strategy for Nightmare I'd concentrate on the 230-270nw range where you have breach. I would then expand through the 210 range. Sweep that out and bolster your vulnerable in the gap and you have a meat grinder. I would count on a non-magical finish. You guys can also depend on elven durability and I'd imagine the halfers are doing their job.
