With NS does it affect provs with armies out. If so in what capacity.

Does NS affect provs with armies home more so then if they are away assuming that NS affects peoples armies while they are out?

Army out has no effect on NS.

nightstrike kills troops in both the at home army and in the away army. included specialists and elites away. Checked SoM with a tactician before and after opps.

it does the exact same damage.

It should be noted that elites are much more resistant to ops than specs are. The offense for most provinces is made up of mostly leets and it can therefore seem the ops have a smaller effect on army out, but afaik, its only due to spec defense vs leet offense.

I did NS last age on someone who sent everything out during war. Only a few hundred defense specs left at home and some soldiers but when I did the OP it told me that they couldn't find anyone to NS - too few people at home or something like that. This made me think that NS doesn't affect armies out since there were 10k troops out and they couldn't even kill one?? Is there a reason this might have happened where NS effect is reduced to zero or something? Would sending too few thieves do this?

I did SoM before nightstrike and after nightstrike in war last age. Certain it effects away specs and elites.

Back in the day night strike use to only effect troops home.. they then changed it to effect troops away, we toured around with it and found that it did more damage with all tropps home, then full elite army out although it still killed away troops..
