OK, so less of an AWAR than old school days, but its still the most interesting thing (for many people) that has happened in the game in a while. There was a request for an unbiased report made. While I am giving a report, I can't in all honesty say I am conflict free (as I play for Pyromaniacs), but just the same I will actually TRY to remain neutral in this report which is more than most can say.
OK. Here goes.
Parties Invovled: Beastblood (BB)/ Pyromaniacs (Pyro) and some friends vs. Emeriti and their friends.
Issue: Is it appropriate for many v. one interference based upon a rival's friend's interference in an end of war ceasefire (EOWCF) given the level of evidence/inference available?
Agreed upon Facts: BB was in an EOWCF and was negotiating a Ceasefire (CF) with Emeriti. While negotiations were pending a kingdom with a player friendly to Emeriti named Bour razed BB in their EOWCF (this kingdom will hereinafter be called BKD because I don't know their real name). It is generally accepted that you don't hit into people's EOWCF despite the lack of specific game mechanics or rule prohibitions. Bour made an effort to reach reasonable accommodation but BB was not interested in any proposals made. It came to light that there was a relationship between Emeriti and BKD. BB objected to this conduct as coercive. Emeriti admitted advising BKD to seek a CF with BB and to raze them if they refused. They did issue an apology and made some offers to attempt to make it up to BB. BB was not satisfied with the apology. There was much gnashing of teeth.
A KD called Outsiders (O) waved Pyro a few days out of protection. This caused Pyro to slow down relative to its main competition, and really only competition for the top of the charts, Emeriti. As there were only two kingdoms vying for that goal this age, this was a significant setback for Pyro. Later it was determined that O also had a relationship with Emeriti.
Status:
Putting these elements (and others discussed in more detail elsewhere but without sufficient support to appear here) together, the leadership of BB and Pyro drew the conclusion (rightly or wrongly) that Emeriti was orchestrating unethical play. Recently Emeriti noticed and waved Pyro. Pyro bushed the war button and BB took the opportunity to interfere in that war by doing outside hits into Emeriti, a 2 v 1 situation. (Generally it is considered unethical play to engage in 2 v 1 situations unless it is to correct prior unethical behavior of the party being ganged up on).
Emeriti denies that the actions of O and BKD were anything more than coincidence. They further maintain that they had in the midst of all that negotiated a CF with BB, which BB has now violated by entering into the 2v1 situation. Faced with multiple opponents Emeriti called in their friends including BKD and O. Pyro called in more friends. Emeriti called in more friends. Pyro called in more friends.....
and so it goes....
From the start in a 1v1 situation Pryo was at a disadvantage. As the numbers of those involved has grown that disadvantage has not eroded. In fact as the war is being dragged on, it seems to be growing. Both kingdoms are really suffering in this situation though as Emeriti has also lost significant land and resources.
At this point, Pyro is almost at 50% NW of Emeriti thus allowing the potential for the automatic win when the minimum 7 days of war point is reached. But just because the war between Emeriti and Pryo is concluded, does not necessarily mean that the AWAR (Alliance War) is ended.

Pyromaniacs has now lost the war with Emeriti by 50% auto-win. It is believed that the AWAR goes on though....
