I can shed a bit of light on the diplomacy this age, seems to be a bit confused.
FS waved ED earlier this age. Someone pointed out ED didnt know at the time FS was FS, which is partially true. We suspected it, but wasnt sure. It was a pretty tough call, to cf or go for it. We got offered a 2 week CF or something and eventually took it without retalling.
Couple of days ago, with FS in eowcf, we got an ingame message asking if we wanted to extend, which we didnt. We had done some exploring to keep up with FS farmwar growth which put both kd's at ~61k acres. Yesterday we got approached again by a third party, asked by FS to see if a deal could be made. We offered to give another 2.5 days, having the hostile start on sunday instead, with the conditions that both KD's didnt grow and that FS gave button come sunday. FS declined this deal.
So instead, we gave button an hour or two after FS left EOWCF. And thats that, I guess. Yet to see if they wanna push it.
