Time for a war report. Kapow approached empyrean wrestling association if they might be interested in a friendly war. After some mailing back and forth, EWA accepted the challenge. The only agreement was hostilities could be started on februari 24, yr12. At the time of the agreement, both kingdoms were around 7,2 mil nw. Kapow quickly went fortified to change those fragile pump builds into something that could take a pounding while EWA waited in normal.
KD setup of Kapow:
1 Avian tactician
2 Faery mystics, 3 Faery rogues
1 Halfling rogue
5 Human mystics, 3 Human tacticians
2 Orc clerics, 1 Orc war hero, 4 Orc warriors
Kd setup of EWA:
1 Avian tactician
3 Faery mystics, 1 Faery rogue
1 Halfling mystic, 1 Halfling rogue
8 Human clerics, 1 Human merchant, 1 Human sage
4 Orc clerics, 1 Orc warrior
1 Undead tactician
Before any relations
Kapow was drafted a lot deeper than EWA, but EWA had a lot more peasants and economy. Both kingdoms seemed to be dealing with some lesser active provinces, which hurt preparation for both sides. Both kingdoms had enough cash on them to fund about 1 dragon and switch to war builds.
The hostile:
Kapow started a sapphire dragon and EWA started an emerald one. EWA hit a few times till unfriendly with massacres on a faery mystic and human mystics. Kapow responded with traditional marches, targeting mainly t/m’s. Some ops went back and forth, mainly meteors, some greeds and riots, and the stealing and destroying of money and runes. EWA held the button, but chose not to press it right away. Instead, they hit till just under the hostile points Kapow had hit for and moved to fortified stance. Kapow continued with the strategy they started with, hitting t/m’s down with traditional marchs. This resulted in Kapow having a few unbreakable t/m’s, while those who were on the brink of unbreakable in EWA had their defense greatly reduced. The wave into fort came at a cost though, fortified stance didn’t give full protection yet, but it still limited the gains and EWA declared on march 20, able to hit for full gains and chain on the declare date.
The war so far:
Both kingdoms sent their dragons and EWA chained one of Kapow’s attackers that was late with converting to warbuild and had no guardstations, hospitals or watchtowers yet, with some extra hits on one of the human mystics and one of the orc clerics. Kapow’s armies had all been out, and haven’t hit in war yet, but did start organizing their ops; mainly keeping meteors up, fireballing, stealing, kidnapping and assassinating wizards.
This appears to become a fun and friendly fight for both sides, with very different strategies used by the kingdoms involved and already some nice warforum trolling.
