    Revert TM Roles or Tweak Existing

    I see two paths getting support in my other thread, one each based on my proposal and natebane's. These are just paradigms and specifics can be tweaked.

    1. My Proposal: keep the general idea as is but weaken Faery, strengthen Elf and Halfling, and tweak the other races.

    Elf
    + 30% Combat Instant Spell Damage
    + 30% Sabotage Operation Damage
    + 30% Spell Duration
    +1 mana per tick in war
    Towers employ 50% normal workers (magic tradition etc. makes rune production more efficient)

    +1 defensive specialist strength

    Spellbook: Nightmares, Pitfalls, Mages Fury
    Elite: 5/4, 700gc, 5.75NW


    Faery
    +30% WPA
    +30% TPA

    Spellbook: All racial spells (TOG, FoK, and CS are no longer racial spells)
    Elite: 3/5, 850gc (down from 950), 5.25NW


    Halflings
    + 1 Stealth
    - 50% thief cost
    + 15% population

    -10% Gains

    Spellbook: Invisibility, Aggression, Town Watch
    Soldiers 2:2 Elite: 4/4, 350gc, 4.75NW (down from 5)
    2. Natebane: revert to Halfling and Elf having the innate power bonuses, Faery having the damage bonus and spellbook versatility.

    Elf--Lost Nightmare
    + 30% WPA
    + 30% Spell Duration
    +1 mana per tick in war

    +1 defensive specialist strength

    Spellbook: Pitfalls, Mages Fury, Clearsight, Chastity
    Elite: 5/4, 700gc, 5.75NW


    Faery
    + 40% Combat Instant Spell Damage
    + 40% sabotage damage

    Spellbook: All spells
    Elite: 3/5, 950gc, 5.25NW


    Halflings
    + 1 Stealth
    + 50% TPA
    - 50% thief cost
    + 10% population (down from 15%)

    -10% gains

    Spellbook: Invisibility, Aggression
    Soldiers 2:2 Elite: 4/4, 300gc, 4NW (down from 350gc and 5NW)

    Won't change anything elfs will only be mystics. Halflings will be rogues and faerys could do both. How does it change anything?

    It's a lot different. First of all, Halflings aren't really useful this age since there's always a better choice for whatever role you'd play them in. Faery is really powerful, arguably the most powerful race on the server with its ability to defend, sustain, provide economy, and output damage.

    Reverting to the previous alignment means that Elf and Halfling compete with Faery for best mage and thief race, respectively.

    If the current alignment stays, Halfling and Elf need boosts relative to Faery.

    Keep faeries like they are, change elf and halfling so they are equally as awesome as faery.

    I think faery and elf are fairly even atm. Faery can get UB more easily, elf can bottomfeed more easily. Faery can op with better succes and elf causes much more damage. I think currently a combination of the 2 races, where faery focusses on opping other t/m's and elves focusses on opping attackers and bottomfeeding, is stronger than using lots of either one in a kingdom.

    Just halfing cant get anywhere near how strong elves and faeries are, and that's also mostly due to it's very weak elites atm. 4 defense for 5 nw, that's just not useful at all. And the thievery bonusses halfling has, cheap thieves is nice, but ultimately not that useful on -95% thief losses and the +1 stealth does cause some extra damage, but compared to the elf and faery bonusses, also rather weak.

    Therefore, my suggestion to fix halfling is to give halfling a tpa bonus, bigger than faery, and give them their elites for 4 nw. This raises the amount of defense a halfling can get in relation to land because it needs less thieves and it raises the defense compared to the nw which is more useful oow. Pretty big boosts, but with how strong the other t/m races and suiciding attackers currently are, I think this would actually be balanced.

    The problem is more with Elf's vulnerability, where Faery is really well protected.

    Better spellbook for Elf would make sense thematically and improve its standing.

    Giving faery -10% population and leaving everything else as is would even the playing field imho.

    I prefer Fae with wpa/tpa and Elf with damage, so long as Halfers are much better than they are this age. It's too late and Bishop has already decided to revert to the old way.

    I don't see where Elf is particularly weak though. Elf is pretty strong if kingdoms are using it like an Elf rather than trying to be a t/m. Next age Halfer is pretty sweet too, thanks to Rogue's really strong buffs.

    Fight against kingdoms that are intelligent and Faeries aren't that great.
