    + 40% Spell Success (WPA)

I am very confused by this. It used to be +30% WPA, now it has been replaced with spell
    success.

So are my wizards 40% more powerful on offence only? or will they also be defending with an extra 40% modified WPA???

reason I ask is that some of you already pointed out that faery's gained mage fury, so if
40% spell success is only for when you cast spells and it doesnt give you an
extra 40% WPA to resist spells then its not worth it at all!!

Wpa is in brackets after it. It's the same bonus.

I've had this argument with very experienced, strategically smart players. The spell/op success bonuses are wpa/tpa mods, nothing more exotic than that.

If spell success rate is partially determined by OwnWPA/OpponentWPA, then it'll be both. Probably a clue

It will be both over a long average, but for immediate calculation it's just a pa modifier. Some people are under the impression it gives you success *despite* your ratios.

It's a bit ridiculous that this issue surfaces every age start. But it's really the games fault for not using a stringent terminology. On top of "wpa" and "spell success", the science page uses "magic efficiency" (imho the best description). This game sure doesnt make it easy for noobs :/

Oh, yeah. Multiplicative, not additive. Not logarithmic or exponential
