@ Fairplay. That's good to hear. In a way, if we can't appreciate the intrigue we can't entirely enjoy the game. Spies, liars, backstabbers, deal breakers, power brokers and sniveling cowards all make for a dramatic playing experience.
(here we go again!) Even in D&D with a group that's been together for over 30 years we have players that keep things interesting by not being on the side of the majority. When you're young it's frustrating because you want stories to be linear. As we age and appreciate these difficulties it becomes living art.
We don't divorce ourselves from our passion for the game(D&D, what have you) but we know that we're building good memories.
A little Black Sabbath now ~
They say that life's a carousel
Spinning fast, you've got to ride it well
The world is full of kings and queens
Who blind your eyes and steal your dreams
And they'll tell you black is really white
The moon is just the sun at night
And when you walk in golden halls
You get to keep the gold that falls
