    Utopia Lingo

Please forgive me if there is already a thread about this subject. (But I am also trying to get in my 10 min forum posts)
    ---------------------------------
I've been looking around and see some terms that appear to be game lingo. Can anyone help translate?

Ghetto? (I'm assuming a badly run alliance?)

Cows..? (Totally lost on this one)

    --
Btw I haven't seen the term 'alliance' used in here thus yet. I think that is unusual.

A ghetto used to have a more specific meaning, but nowadays people just use it to call kingdoms bad.

A cow is a giant province in a kingdom with lots of tactical uses.

The game is mostly too small to support alliances like it used to. Most "alliances" these days are just kingdoms that are friendly towards each other that tend not to work against each other.

Ghetto is essentially any unorganized kingdom. They can be fun and successful but are considered ghettos in forum. Forum has a great number of top players: players in top 10 ranked kingdoms, so their bias is obvious. I'm a classic ghetto kingdom hopper with a twist. I like to help.

Cows are those massive provinces you see in the top kingdoms. The biggest ones. There's some science behind it. I'm sure a top player could enlighten you thoroughly.

    Rax are barracks
    ToG is Tree of Gold

There's a number of acronyms I'm sure you could learn by yourself, but if you desire translation please ask.

    Welcome to Utopia.

Thank you very much - to both.

So a kingdom is the combined might of players with provinces? Sorry but I am so used to ruling my own kingdom in other text games. So do players actually go around saying; "Why in MY province..." This sounds different and interesting - I'm not trying to knock it. (Just trying to get the idea in my head)

Dragon? I'll assume this is a real (text) fighting dragon? Which is needed for war?

A kingdom can consist of up to 25 players, each player has one province to rule over. So your "kingdom" in this case would your province.

Dragons are used in wars to give a edge to your own kingdom, there is what, like 4 different dragons taht have different effects on the enemy kingdom.

For acronyms the wiki is a good source.

Hey bud. I've been playing the game off and on since Age ~20 or so, but took a long hiatus and this will be my first age back.

Anyways, think of the Kingdom as a "guild" of sorts. It's a group of players (provinces) that are tasked to work together towards a single goal. To get the most out of the game, it's necessary to work with your kingdom, and grow alongside them and work towards similar goals. Your kingdom will go to war against another kingdom several time throughout the age, and at that point you will be attacking, stealing from, and raining hellfire down on other provinces that you're at war with.

    Good luck!

    Thanks, you're too kind.

Crown- A term for a first place finish. No value added. Valid only at the urinal for comparing.
Forum- Where most people go while pooping. IMHO the best part of the game.

Interesting that all these online games having their own mean slang. Ghetto for this game. In another one I've played in the past someone would mention that they 'raped' another player. Lol I always cringed whenever I saw that word in their chat board...
