Ah they could invest more in it, its not like the game is a massive money pit or anything - a bit of investment would be fairly easily recouped I'd say. The problem uto faces is fairly simple. The devs have a few project they work on, they picked the one with the most potential to earn big money and that wasn't us. We did get a fair bit of dev work a while back, but it just wasn't converting into profits.

Who is going to train in the new coder? It would take about 6 months on site to get up to speed. That's the big barrier to the community helping out with coding in a meaningful way.

IMO if they loved the game enough this would not be out of the question... assuming we had the correct volunteer. I do, however, understand why they may not want to waste their time on a situation that could lead to years finding someone who does not flake out. Do we know of a volunteer worth investing 6 months in?

If he was up for it I would guess munk or perhaps stinger or perhaps one of the other tool coders. I don't know that I am competent to judge anyone's talents as coders though so I won't stretch much beyond that.
