Dear everyone,

is it allowed to stop hitting during a war? Our war started over a week ago. After about 40h it was clear that victory was ours. Our opponent however, decided to keep hitting and thus lost a little over 25% of their land to us. The way it is now, we are facing a NW-based war-win situation, with them being about 1.8m and us being al little over 3.1m networth. Their land size, around 12.5k acres versus our 28k.

We have tried using diplomacy to convince them to withdraw, but apparently FREE has lost all dignity. We have so far killed three provinces, just to lower the networth. It now seems that FREE is trying to keep their networth by preventing us from hitting. They are doing this by keeping their armies home; over the past 14h only one of their provinces (their monarch) has hit. Now my question to you is: is this strategy allowed?

Perhaps they've gone inactive overall(?). The monarch fights on because he's the last one with fight in him(?).

kill their steward and their big (whoever) and they will wd, theres probs a strong province thats not hit or hardly hit not caring rest gets killed and its usually a vocal one the monarch trusts or look up to, always like that down there.

The fact that you refer to it as a "strategy" seems to suggest that it is acceptable? People aren't obligated to withdraw, it sounds like they are making you work for the 50% networth win. If they want to keep armies home to make it harder for you to break them, why would that not be allowed? Are you suggesting that turtling should be an actionable offense?

This, its only a fake war if u guys "Agree" to stop hitting. If they stop hitting to draw out the fight thats on them.

Making a kingdom work for the 50% sounds great; however, if it involves all but one province turtling (and still being able to be quad-tapped by all) it looks to me like the kingdom has given up and just wants to be an annoyance.

This morning I woke up and found that they finally surrendered.

You could always just withdraw yourselves. What good is a war win on the page anyway? In my experience, it just makes it harder to get into subsequent wars...
