Here is the problem I have with it. It encourages the conduct that has been at the center of so much drama in these forums this last age. It encourages solo provinces to go looking at kingdoms stocking gold or whatever and potentially brining the wrath of organized kingdoms down on them. This escalation is almost certain to completely wreck the game. There is a big difference between whispering something between acquaintances and publishing it in the new york times. I think most here (not darkmoore) can appreciate that difference.

btw darkmoore. I do not recall that Stinger provides access to shared intel that my kingdom did not gather. Can you point out where this cool feature is?
"having fun warring when you have whoring and number 1 as a goal is totally pointless..." - Korp
"while I heart shiester when we both play serious and are in the same kingdom, I hate shiester on the forums and pretty much disagree with everything he says. Even he knows this." - Flogger asking me out on a date

The devs have made a decision to kill competitive utopia and have thereby killed my interest with it.

If you don't want us ghettos to find your gold, don't stock so much of it.

If I thought that this was a tool that would help less organized kds fight against more organized kds I would be all for it. To me this just seems like another tool that helps the more experienced kds have an easier time exploiting new/weak/disorganized kds. The disorganized/new kds I have spent time in have few if any ppl using tools of any kind, very unlikely that they would use target sharing tool like this. Much much more likely is that the already strong kds that are organized and use tools will use this target sharing as a way to exploit new/weaker kds even more.

Its like the plunder tool in umunk tracking kds coming oow so people can plunder the **** out of them. Experienced kds tend to know better than to come oow with resource stacks unless they are in a position with CFs to do so safely. Less experienced kds don't know any better, most have no idea that there is even a bot tracking their kd telling ppl when they come oow. In a giant target sharing database is it the strongest provs/kds that are at risk or the weakest and easiest to farm? And who is most likely going to be using the database, the new players or established vets? To me this is just another way for the more experienced players to feed on the weak, not something that the game really needs (more of).

As for the program not adhering to game rules:
"Under no circumstances may you use automation software, hacks, mods, scripts or any unauthorized third-party tools designed to improve your performance in Utopia."

This seems to be interpreted as not allowing anything like autoclickers or scripts that take action in the game for you. However it is vague enough that all of the tools UTO community uses could be banned if admins decided to do so.

    Beans,

No top kd is going to share juicy targets, they want them all for themselves. The use top kds would have for this is to intel their enemy in the top so that ghettos could organize and do their bidding for them without ever having to break CF. Yes this could bring down the wraith of the top onto the bottom if they were robbing them blind but that is always the risk, enhancing the bottom's ability to have this information is not a bad thing for them.

As for not having the tools in the bottom... There is a kd right now in the bottom 40 on the server that has umunk. And every kd I've randomed into has had at the very least upoop. Having a tool that requires no sign up would mean more people would use it, and technically you don't even need to download the add on to make use of the intel. This makes it way more likely to be used than any other aid.

Picture this: You're in a ghetto and you're being waved by 3 kds, this happens a lot in the ghetto. You can't really fight back but you might be able to get some heat off you just by taking their intel and sending it into eXposed. I like it!
