Lets be honest why Spartans are really dodging the war:

FREE have: 10k acres | 1,241k nw | tpa+wpa+sci 56k nw |*117k peons | 114k units (+8k solds) | 301k income (0k TOG) | 100k wages | 1,518k gc | 56k runes | 889k food

Spartans have: 12k acres | 1,306k nw | tpa+wpa+sci 46k nw |*144k peons | 98k units (+5k solds) | 440k income (79k TOG) | 111k wages | 2,538k gc | 83k runes | 1,068k food

Spartans decided to explore during protection, while agreeing to an OOP war (derp).
So at OOP they had 17% less military than FREE.

Obviously now that they have 12k acres vs free 10k acres, it suites them well to stay out of hostile, delay war while they continue to pump and build their eco.

There is no way FREE is sitting on 10k acres, allowing spartans to pump on 12k acres.
It's uncommon to run OPS before hostile, so not sure what valhul was thinking.
But I'm pretty confident it has little to no effect on the outcome of this war.

Anyways, the way i see it, it's just a ticket for Spartans to dodge war.
They are far behind on military because they had a crappy plan, now they are trying to bail.

If a KD agrees to hostile on the 4th, then gets all their Rogues ETed on the 2nd/3rd and resources stolen while the other KD has been untouched, then why the hell would they push button?

Vlahul has spent page after page crying about CR not warring and slagging them off for hiding behind the fact that it wasn't agreed they'd tag up or give out location, then as soon as he gets the chance he pulls exactly the same **** on other people with "we never agreed no OPs".

It's sad that Peppie has such an asshat in the KD, he should have just let FREE die if they can't keep playing at a level which is acceptable for members rather than being dragged into the forum circus of bull****. No matter how much he tries to distance FREEs name and current players, that's not how life works.

Those are non-hostile ops. You should have made it clear no ops or spells until hostile date (taking intel allowed).
I think FREE are still within the agreement, but it's a very grey area.
Anyways they could have done it just the same on the first few seconds of the 4th.

Runes, GC matter a lot, especially in an OOP war like this. They stole a lot. One of our rogues got ETed down to 40 stealth.

no way we are looking for a way out. we have vastly more high value units (elites) and invested much more into tpa then they did. Total military unit count is a nearly useless measure.

basically they went to get an unfair edge by doing early ops, so we compensated. I dont think not warring was ever discussed.
