How similar do names need to be to trigger name changes? I mean would Copycat Killer and Copykat Killa trigger it? or is there enough variance?

That would most likely trigger it. The rules are quite simple, if there is a slight suggestion fo confusing names to get an advantage, it will be punished.

pussy will get bishoped or was in the past anyway...we were all some form of cats and 2 provinces had pussy in the name, one ended up as sylvester and the other...felix i think
Yeah, seems weird, in a cat-themed Kingdom, to regard the word 'pussy' as inappropriate. In isolation, maybe. In context of innuendo, sure. But the use of the word to refer to cats goes back close to 500 years. There's nothing inherently inappropriate about it.
simple rule if you think you could be in violation of the rules don't do it, I've seen many kingdoms however that seemed to cross that line without beeing sanctioned, so the rules might be more lenient than I think
it depends on if someone complains
