Are you sure about that Wpa calculation, I thought I remember years ago Bishop saying 10%sci mod is not the same as 10% wpa mod from a racial, it was somehow weaker... he did not clarify how much weaker

Offensive Modified WPA = Raw WPA * Channeling Science * Racial Mod * Honour Mod * Mage's Fury Mod
Defensive Modified WPA = Raw WPA * Channeling Science * Racial Mod * Honour Mod * Mage's Fury Mod * Magic Shield Mod

The +40% "Spell success" is the "Racial Mod" in those formulas.

As a latecomer to the age, I would suggest 80% guilds 20% armories, 6tpa,exploring, robbing and taking gold aid from your kd until you have the most wpa in the kd. maybe some mills if your into min/maxing.

I'll paraphrase Bishop on this for you on the last thing I've seen him post on the subject (this has already been discussed a while back):

The +40% "Spell success" is the "Racial Mod" in those formulas.

I'm not sure on the exact formula, I'm strictly talking about what increased "Spell success" in the changes actually means.
