Recovering from war (NW spread)

In a long mid-age war we established some UBs. A few from our mid were not so lucky and chained to a few hundred acres. The next war they remained untouched while different provinces in our mid were chained.

We now have a situation where there is a huge spread of size and networth.

What are the options for remedying this? How do people tend to deal with this - or approach the situation heading into a new war with a kingdom so spread out.

As soon as Eowcf hits, the chained guys stack mills and speed build if possible, gather enough resources to double them and aid it to them. Do it early while they still have their tax rate capped at 15% from GBP, usually a guy with a decent TB will release thieves and let the chained guys rob him and aid back too to keep TB balanced out. You don't have to do all your exploring in eowcf either, just get them close to where they can finish exploring/attacking/dicing that last bit between exiting eowcf and entering fort.

Grow your smalls, bulk explore and max incoming then drop into a fortified period, likewise have your large guys if attackers run high offense plunder or abduct out, and expect some land retals to pull them down some.

I'm an advocate of growing your smalls. You want randoms to target provinces that can recuperate and be in position to defend your big land holders. Build guilds. Op retal is fundamental.
