The changes have held up and faery attacker is a viable option. Halfer has also gotten the changes it seems many players were asking for.

Time to assemble the next Virtual Kingdom ;-)

Very little change to the final changes, but here are the re-run numbers. Halfer elite now lacks GP (correctly), which would have lowered it except it got the only buff. Also of note - these are using 5% less than max sci on BE, Pop, and Mill, and just about 1/2 for T and M, so this isn't age ending values either. (6 Pes/A isn't super low pop either, so 200 OPA will be fairly normal for near eoa.)

The very short answer: by making a bunch of assumptions.

In general, the principle is to set up a reasonable attacking province, then see how much military it produces. I've skipped most of the build (10% homes, 20% TGs, 10% forts - yes, the forts are a bit dumb, but checking if horses have units is more complicated) because most of the build is about defense and utility, not power. Sometimes utility is the most important part (ambush immune, free build!), but there is a lot more judgement involved in it, so I don't try to measure it with numbers.

One neat little trick this does is it calcs NW/A (somewhat) and uses a set ratio of offense to defense (65:35 for the "official" values I post). Not off to def units, but actual offense to defense, after stuff like GP or fanat. This is trying to put every race on as nearly equal footing as possible if you require it to be just a pure attacker. Again, hybrids involve a lot more judgement (even as to if they should be used in the first place), so "hard" numbers like this would be rather misleading. ('Tis hard enough to make these at least a little useful!)


You can go play with the public spreadsheet if you just want to tweak a small amount (75:25 ratio, aka 3:1 instead of 2:1, for example) - just set it back once you are done. Or make a whole copy of your own if you really dislike my assumptions and want to make your own. Having someone else do the race updates again would make sure I didn't screw up any values too. (my halfer elite had GP in the prelim, oops!)
