Thanks Bishop. You gonna reveal the exact caps, or you want us to discover them for ourselves?

    really? I mean really, really?

Hope it was not to much of a problem with names and stuff, got to 144 last age and aiming to try and max out this age too. The faster you get to max, the longer you get to play with the maxed science.
Furthermore I think Carthage should be destroyed and Dryads brought back to the game

    As Sage (rounded??):
    40.6 alchemy (29 novices, so 1.4 per sage-novice)
    0.7 tools
    0.4 housing
    7 food
    0.4 mil
    3.5 thief
    4.2 magic

    So to cap:
    15 Alchemy profs
    20 Tools profs
    25?? housing
    20 Food profs
    25?? mil
    20 Thief profs
    21 Magic profs (20.8)
    Total: 146 profs.

    Not sure about Housing/Military. 0.4 / 1.4 = 0.2857.. So I have a feeling that's been rounded off somewhere. I'm going to guess it's 0.42 per sage-novice, so that's 0.3 / novice for other people. To cap 15% bonus = 25 scientists.
    Regards,
    NighT

I got 3% per novice for channeling science. Assuming prof = 2 x novice like last age, that caps at 17 profs.

Channeling cap is 125%. You need 21 profs for that.

Yep. I can't read. Or bishop is just tricky and swapped channeling and crime on his list so it doesn't match the in-game order...

So basically the effect per professor has only been adjusted for food (67% up) and decreased for thievery (17% down). Rest stayed the same, only the caps changed.

I really interpreted the 'changed caps along with effects of professors etc.' different.

lucky you. i was like 30 scientists or so short of maxxing. you were just lucky. the increased scientist production was def needed imo.

    15 Alc prof for max
    20 tools prof for max
    25 housing prof for max
    25 military prof for max
    25 crime prof for max
    25 channeling prof for max
Food i hav not applied any for early age to calc this but i would assume similar to the rest between 15-25 prof to max

So, it looks like so far we have confirmed:

    15 alchemy
    20 food
    20 crime
    21 channeling

I have 23 in pop atm, but they're split between grads and novices, and I'm sage, so the math is too complicated for my tiny bird brain to try figure out. BUT I don't think I have enough in pop to cap yet, so I think pop is >23 scientists. Will confirm when I know. I also imagine military works on the same numbers as pop.
