Nothing wrong with some mild sexism every now and then. In my household I'm also stigmatized, being forced to do slave labor like carrying bags while also paying for what's in these bags just because I'm a man. Unfair, but real nonetheless.

    Rape-culture!

Sadly, my original point laid out in the next post. Ignorance is bliss, I'd love to be able to be so unaffected by something that I could belittle and make jokes about it(especially exclaiming Rape Culture!" as an outro; your comedic talents are so wasted in these forums)

As a matter of fact, the repulsive idea of being subject to physical contact from any individual with such a sense of humour dries me up like tha Sahara, makes me physically ill even. should be thanking the gods there's someone out there with such low standards to allow a person with so little disregard to carry and pay for these bags you're talking about.

Don't be so intolerant of Dutch culture. Hard humor is a part of it.

    http://www.expatica.com/nl/insider-v...ur_100883.html

One thing I have learned; being politically correct doesn't mean anything in the Flatlands.

I am quite aware that the typical Dutch attempt at humour notoriously borders on insult, not only at the expense of others but even towards themselves. Making a fool of themselves is supposed to be funny.
    And most importantly:

Lesson: Don't take Dutch humour seriously

If a Dutch person pulls your leg, don't be a crybaby and a spoilsport. Learn to laugh and pull the person's leg in return, then afterwards, get over it. You wouldn't really want to celebrate a pity party all day as your Dutch counterpart has probably moved on, without a thought about you.
    Edit:

Just a lot of stuff you wouldn't get really. For instance, my manager at my workplace is Jewish. Few months ago she was complaining that the trains were always running late, to which my colleague replied that she were lucky the trains even stopped at her station (reference to WWII transport of Jews).

Another anecdote (same people): Manager complains about the hairstyle of my colleague and calls it a "dead guinea pig". In response he tells her that her hair looks like it's from the 1940s, and that if perhaps she'd also stick to the diet of "her kind" back then she'd be less fat.

In both cases, this was seen as a funny joke, and everyone laughed including the manager. Be tolerant!

Intolerant lol the irony, and "Dutch culture blah blah blah.." Sure, whatever hoser, I expected something way more stable than that retort, I guess you really only have one joke a day in you; don't quit your day job, especially reading those anecdotes, wow you really found a winning group to be a part of! xD

Tbh I'm just glad you didn't try to mansplain the rule of using "Het" or De" to me. #notagain!!!

Did any of these women offer to date someone else I utopia? No? Then who cares? They are just a screen name.

The devs have made a decision to kill competitive utopia and have thereby killed my interest with it.

@Darkmoore nice to see someone gets it completely, especially the part about attacking on time xD

@MyNameIsMatja a little too easy actually, and usually won't engage but low hanging fruit right?

@Sheister I'm not really sure what your point is, but I think you mean well, and that makes you alright in my books.

Again this is all pretty silly tbh; He had a great idea, and personally I wish more of us ladies could've gotten in on it. We are a minority in Uto, and this isn't some war cry about being as good at strat or math as the boys, it's just we are here, and triggered wanted to give some of us a voice, there's no such thing as bad press. Hopefully these shows bring more people to the game, we need it. Hopefully an all girl show might persuade more girls, and guys, to pick up their swords and shields. Leave it to the trolls to put some kind of negative spin on it, which I can't abide and I will spin back, and way more classy and clever than those hosers ;D

I don't relate to this podcast much at all. There's lots of "let us" and "alloweds" that are so typically female according to societal standards. Hmmn among other things.

That said, good job in the podcast, and thanks to Kygal for doing the interview!

My point is the social interactions in this game have nothing to do with gender. We are all just screen names.

However, to the extent people wish to discuss their perceptions of being a woman-nerd/girl-nerd playing a game surrounded by man-nerds/boy-nerds that is fine. But there is no reason to bring up gender.

We still don't know what Palem is.

My opinion of you stands :D and preaching to the choir, super girl nerd here and proud of it, between my love of xfiles, math problems and vidoegames. I balance out being good at soccer, wine, weed and being super fine xD

I wasn't in it either. That's why we're doing an interview of the ladies. Because now we've banded together en masse.
