Halfling ambush values for solds

Does anyone know if there`s an interaction bettewn solds and aggresion and how much def they got on ambushes ?

Ambush is mod free. Meaning the halfer's solds def value is 3 no matter if aggression is on or not.

halfer doesnt have 3/3 solds anymore.

and afaik they'll defend with 1.

Actually they do :). Aggression is a mod and is ignored for ambushes.

Understand that I do NOT know how this works. But IMHO Aggression is NOT a mod. My interpretation is: Aggression is a Spell that changes the RAW value of the soldiers. Therefore, with Aggression cast your units have new RAW values. Unlike for example, Fanaticism, which is a spell that modifies the raw value, it does not change the raw value. In this instance, Fanaticism would not affect the defending value of the troops defending on ambush because it is a modifier, whereas Aggression actually changes the raw value and therefore would affect ambush.

That is my logical reasoning of the situation, however, I have never tested this and do not know if this is actually the way it works. If you do find out, please let us know!


I will confirm the following though:
Halfling soldiers are 3/3
Halfling soldiers with aggression are 4/2
Normal soldiers are 2/2
Normal soldiers with aggression are 3/1
There are no soldiers that are 1/1

It is. For ambush you use race's base values nothing else.

There is literally no way to know one way or the other without actually testing it.
