Not sure if this has been suggested before, or how hard it would be to implement.
But it would be nice to have a alert on new Forum posts in a similar manner to how you get a Orange diamond to alert you to new messages.

Seconded. I see no downside to this at all.
If you use the in-game forum it is great.
If you don't use it, there is no harm in it.
People still use the in-game forum? Weird.
