Undead/War hero converts

I'm playing as an undead warhero, and as listed in the changes for the age and on the guide, we get "Successful land attacks convert Offensive Specialists into Elites (from undead)" and "Converts some Specialists into Elites on successful land attacks (from war heroes)"
I just preformed two attacks, with fanaticism and warspoils active, one traditional march, and one conquest. Both of these attacks are land attacks, in that they take land from the enemy and transfer it to me, but only the trad march gave me elite conversions, which is why I even attacked for land to begin with.

The first attack, the trad march, I got
"Your forces arrive at [REDACTED]. A tough battle took place, but we have managed a victory! Your army has taken 91 acres! 49 acres of buildings survived and can be refitted to fit our needs. We also gained 295 specialist training credits. Taking full control of your new land will take [REDACTED], and will be available on [REDACTED]. 374 peasants settled on your new lands. We lost 203 Skeletons, 62 Ghouls and 92 horses in this battle. 363 of your specialists have been promoted to elites. We killed about 327 enemy troops. We also imprisoned 318 additional troops in our Dungeons. Our forces will be available again in [ALL REDACTED].,"

whereas my conquest attack, which is where I got stiffed on elites, gave me this
"Your forces arrive at [REDACTED]. Our troops were able to get a small foothold into enemy territory. We captured another 27 acres! 8 acres of buildings survived and can be refitted to fit our needs. Taking full control of our new land will take [REDACTING IS FUN], and will be available on [REDACTED AGAIN]. We lost 209 Skeletons in this battle. We killed about 141 enemy troops. We also imprisoned 145 additional troops in our Dungeons. Our forces will be available again in [REDACT ALL THE THINGS!]."

My question is this: does "successful land attacks" exclude certain forms of victory for conquest attacks? It was indeed a "small foothold," where I sent roughly around 60% of their defense. I would assume that an attack that succeeded in taking lands from an enemy would be considered successful, no matter the level of success, so long as it is?

Conquest is counted as a failed attack. Since you didnt break through his whole defense.

If that's the case then, wouldn't the only "successful land attack" be traditional marches? The wording used implies more than one type of attacking being eligible, but if you're correct and everything is working as intended, then the guide needs to be reworded to remove the misleading phrasing. If it's due to different levels of success using conquest, I feel that should be listed somewhere in the guide, but the most the guide says regarding conquest is "However, the attacker is only required to send 51% of the target's defence to be successful," where it describes it as a successful attack as well.

Conquest isn't a successful attack as stated . Many threads already over this if you have time to search thru the forums . Probably find everything about it went over a few times by bishop. Wiki isn't really a good guide since it doesn't get updated by the game .

Does undead war hero get the conversion bonus from both personality and race?
