If I'm looking to take over one of our orcs since they need to be replaced and my province will also need to be backfilled . That will require an abandon from my orc as well as myself. Then have my steward invite me back in for the orc and external invite to take over my province?

stewards cannot invite as far as I know.
you would have to elect steward to monarch before he can invite you back
