The mistake was just not fighting and owing BB after our cf expired and taking 16k free acres to extend. I don't think we've ever turned down free acres from a competitor who adamantly preferred diplomacy over conflict. Also slack mode was a bit of a headwind

I would have liked to see this war happen when the age WASN'T ending. I truly believe it would have turned out differently. With how BB was able to pump, I don't think they would have lost. They would have done more damage in hostile by not giving the button right away, and their big cow would have massacred instead of trad marched all war, making it much easier to secure itself and the other cows. But EoA made it clear that massacres were pointless, BB had the prov land crown in sight and went for it instead.

Emeriti won this conflict, but this isn't the conflict that would have been fought if it weren't so close to EoA.

Diplomacy is the king of strategies. I guess I should add that to my challenge idioms; that I shun diplomacy because it offers leverage above my paygrade.

Everybody is there because they permitted each other to cow. Oh sure, the talk is about sparing war kingdoms of misery but this is the land crown. Identified by the amount of acres obtained by any legal means. Everyone up there is expected to be the best war kingdom any lower tier ghetto has ever seen. That shelf, that signature cow shelf, that's a sign of caution that things are different in mountain country :)

Even with my lack of activity I am smart enough to know that big cows win wars. There has not been a single war as far as I can remember, were the kd with banks surrenders to a kingdom without.

You are also blinded by EOA forcing different strats (for both). You screwed up your war opening thinking you'd get a mintime ezpz war.
