Why Avian elite credits needs to be looked at

A tough battle took place, but we have managed a victory! Your army has taken 703 acres! 446 acres of buildings survived and can be refitted to fit our needs. We also gained 8658 specialist training credits. Taking full control of your new land will take 11.56 days, and will be available on June 13 of YR9. 1,513 peasants settled on your new lands.
We lost 3,163 Drakes in this battle.
We killed about 6,094 enemy troops. We also imprisoned 1,613 additional troops in our Dungeons.
Our forces will be available again in 11.56 days (on June 13 of YR9).

Losing 3k elites, gaining 8.5 K free elites. Gaining this many credits is fine for specs, but getting so many elites per hit is absurd. Forget about sustaining offense with this mechanic, it's effectively gaining a monstrous sum on every attack.

This is why -2000k less starting credits wont do anything. The conversion rate is TOO good. Paying 2 credits to train 1 more elite would make this whole mechanic so much more balanced. I have grown 3k acres in less than a week and more or less maintained my EPA solely from elite credits.

Agree - the benefit of training elites with credits should be to sustain offense, not grow it like in the example above. This would bring avians more in line with other attackers, which generally decrease offense over the course of a war.

I was saying that the elite training should either be removed or changed to 1 elite = 3 credits(2 still can be good with cleric perso + hosps). It's really abusable. And the lower amount of the starting credits is to prevent the oop f*ck fest...

Do people not remember that Orc had elite training with credits before?

In lieu of 2 credits per elite, avians could also have -15% military credits received per attack (instead of the -2000 credits oop).

They also had Plague, 30% gains and 9point elites (higher than anyone else). This was also stupid then too.

It really does need to go away, maybe give avian off specs of 8. Kinda a win/win situation getting rid of spec credits for elites.

I don't think it needs to go away since it's an interesting mechanic. It just needs to be balanced out a little.

I do I played one in the age when cleric had -50 losses and +1 gen and it was OP. It doesn't mean it should be OP again. The bonus needs some kind of a nerf. Even +40% building and spec credits is better.

"OP" is relative. Avian is nothing special considering proposed changes.

What if it was a pers trait? Pers already have different starting bonuses in terms or starting solds/creds...
Also... what if it was given to humans? they have been lacking that special something despite not sucking numbers.... others were just better...

Clearly you haven't seen high honor war hero humans in action this age. Human's relative power is better next age.

Sure, but that's a very specific scenario that doesn't apply to the vast majority of the player base.

Avian creds need nerfed somewhat. 100% agree with you. I don't think they need to be removed; just fix the ratio. I would suggest they are about three times too high atm; I would drop the gains to about 33% of what they currently are. So, the suggestion I saw of '3 creds trains 1 elite' is actually pretty balanced imo.
