    Laboratories

So, with scientists being generated at a flat rate now instead of a percentage-based chance, what purpose will Laboratories serve? Will they increase the number of scientists gained or provide a chance for extra scientists to appear?

What octobrev says would me sense to me. I think the bigger question is how much would the rate be affected and how much is the rate to begin with. Someone will probably calc it out once age starts ticking

Surely the labs bonus is unchanged (aside form the fact that mechanically it is slightly different due to the science mechanic change)? I would have expected it to be flagged if the bonus to a building got changed

Guessing its something like ~7.5% base progression per tick with remainders added, human mods speeding progression to next scientist & labs/rev probably function the same way.

You beat me to it lol, I was just about to make a thread.

    Current scientist generation 15% - non-Human. (Jan 2nd)

So it looks like base scientist generation is 7.5%, which would make it 9.375% for Humans (Science page rounds the number, it seems). Can anyone else confirm?

Yeah the humans in my KD had 9% on first tick and 19% on second tick
Non humans 8% and then 15%

hence figure probably 7.5% base and rounding happening

Pretty sure it was 9% first tick, so that fits

Nope, sage has an effects bonus but no generation bonus.

Sage only got a bonus to science effectiveness (the sci bonuses), not to the actual generation (which Humans did).
