    Alignment

    This one is probably out there a ways... People knock honor a lot so my thought would be that this replace honor.

    The Races would be broken down into naturally Good or Evil groups, but this will only affect starting Alignment, and going against your culture's alignment wouldn't be penalized.

    Good
    Dwarf, Elf, Faery, Halfling, Human

    Evil
    Avian, Orc, Undead

    (I don't see a need for it to be 4:4 necessaryily, especially since Orc/UD are usually over-represented)

    • Races would start at 200 in their native alignment.

      The scale would go from -1000 (Evil) to +1000 (Good), with ranks along the way at each 200 point interval.


    Population, Income, as well as mWPA and mTPA bonuses would be common to each alignment. Titles would be replaced by those noted below, depending which alignment you are running.

    (-)200 - 1.02 Pop, 1.04 Inc, 1.05mTW (Rude,Polite)
    (-)400 - 1.04 Pop, 1.08 Inc, 1.1mTW (Corrupt,Honest)
    (-)600 - 1.06 Pop, 1.12 Inc, 1.15mTW (Callous,Sympathetic)
    (-)800 - 1.08 Pop, 1.16 Inc, 1.2mTW (Malignant,Benign)
    (-)1000 - 1.1 Pop, 1.2 Inc, 1.25mTW (Evil,Pure)

    ... Of course Good and Evil would also have independent bonuses!

    -1000 - 1.1 BE, 1.2 OME
    -800 - 1.08 BE, 1.16 OME
    -600 - 1.06 BE, 1.12 OME
    -400 - 1.04 BE, 1.08 OME
    -200 - 1.02 BE, 1.04 OME

    200 - 1.03 Scientist Chance, 0.96 Resources Lost (GS Effect)
    400 - 1.06 Scientist Chance, 0.92 Resources Lost
    600 - 1.09 Scientist Chance, 0.88 Resources Lost
    800 - 1.12 Scientist Chance, 0.84 Resources Lost
    1000 - 1.15 Scientist Chance, 0.8 Resource Lost

    • Here I am matching BE and Sci Chance, I assume Sci chance will go back down next Age, but I am open to debate on what values would be "equivalent".

    BE for Evil because slavery is real, Sci chance for Good because open minds!

    • For OME and Resource lost the total values are somewhat arbitrary, but they are scaled to reflect base effects of GS and TGs.

    OME for Evil because that's what they're about, in my opinion. Resource protect for Good because they love their lands so much, its hard to pry it from them.

    Alignment Change for Attacks (not exactly sure what current Honor system looks like)
    Change = 15 * (Target Align/Your Align) * IF(Align>0,-1,1)

    • *(-1) if your alignment is (+) Good
    • Also subject to NW gains modifiers


    Change Examples

    Corrupt v Honest 15 * ( 400/-400) = -15 alignment
    Corrupt v Callous 15 * (-600/-400) = +22.5 alignment
    Pure v Evil 15 * (-1000/1000)*(-1) = +15 alignment
    Pure v Polite 15 * (200/1000)*(-1) = -3 alignment

    • Being attacked or Op'd does not change your alignment, only the Attacking province will see change in Alignment


    The base gain here is open for debate too, not sure how fast we might want something like this to swing around. I am also not exactly sure how honor gains work on Ops either, with different values depending on Spell/Op but I believe it could be made to work under similar principles to those above.

    I think something like this could make for interesting new dynamics. People would be racing to get to one end of the spectrum or the other. Good being workable for most, but TMs will clearly be leaning toward Good as much as possible, and I would imagine Attackers would flock to Evil... But you wouldn't always have a choice.

    par example; Some KDs might stress going Good with their Attackers(if they are Avian, UD, or Orc this could be costly to make the transition to Good), since they can assume most enemy TMs will also tend to become Good. Now those Good Enemy TMs, would be forced into ruining their Good alignment if they want to Op those Good Attackers.
