So we're coming out of protection and it doesn't look like my KD is warring. Would abducts be worth it at this stage or would traditional marches be better? I'm not an Undead so not worried about elite conversions.

It depends whether you want to grow or gain science.
If you hit within range and without gains penalties etc I'd expect an abduct to yield 1 scientist.. so it depends how much you value sci versus land.
10% labs is about +1 scientist per day, 50 acre explore is 250 soldiers and 50k (then the added bonus peasants add to economy)
But a true man he razes oop, then murders the women and children.
Abducts worth it imo.
