Promotion suggestion

This is kind of an unorthodox suggestion, but I think you should contact Arumba and ask him to join the game for a bit, show him the full game experience, and then maybe do a promotional video (I don't know if you have any budget for that). He is a youtuber who has more than 250k subs and I think the guy will love the game (he loves making spreadsheets and figuring out mechanics, etc., and is also very fond of incremental games) and the community.

I was talking about this today with a fellow kd mate and he said that the guides need updating, which I agree, I love the idea of attracting new and old-time players back to the game, but in both cases an updated guide will be essential to keep them, especially the completely new players. It'll be hard enough for them to play a browser/text based game as it is and an out dated guide will only confuse and frustrate them and may cause them to just quit which isn't a desirable outcome when we desperately need to increase our player base so we have full kds like the old days. Well, I can dream...

I realise that both the official and wiki guides are done by volunteers and so it takes time to update, and a great job they have done so far and I'm sure the whole Utopian community greatly appreciates their work and contribution but we've had so many different changes to the game recently that both need to be majorly updated.

The wiki is being updated frequently. There is a forum thread to post things that you find that need to be updated. http://forums.utopia-game.com/showth...ns-amp-Updates

The guide was only just written in the last few ages so hopefully there isn't too much out of date - I'm not sure what the process is to update that.

Though best to have a dev confirm, but hopefully the newset edition of the online guide will be live before the end of the age! :D stay tuned!!!! :D

In order to expand the player base, you need to promote the game elsewhere other than just forum play. This is a great idea as well. Im not sure what kind of financial situation the game is in, but possibly look into ad's on other sites or something like that.
