    Very Similar Province Name

I'm sure this would have been addressed before but I'm unable to find a thread. We're currently warring a kingdom with two provinces with very similar province names which has led to some people hitting (bouncing) the wrong province.

Is this just clever play by the opponent? I mean they would've had this all age, they're by no means new provinces by the looks of them. Or is it morally questionable, bordering on unfair play?

It used to be fine under mehul, but now province/ruler names get changed by admins.

It's rare to see, but I think we've warred the same kingdom. Their province name differences satisfy the rule but honestly I find it unnecessary skirting. It's not like they're crowning; or maybe they are. I recall grabbing intel on one of them and being bewildered by the ludicrous defense I saw. Immediately I realized I'd som'd the wrong one, so it was a waste of stealth.

I agree it's a silly statement in gamesmanship. I'm more compelled to face challenges. I really think this game would be boring if I just played to screw the rules and bully. It's why for ages I've followed a set of challenge idioms.

If you report them the names will probably get changed. If no one reports them it's clever play. ;)

As close as it is to EOA, im not sure the devs are doing anything to enforce the rules unfortunately. I reported multi's and the response I got was "oh Zulu sent us an email again"...

case in point we had 2 provs close in names at the start of the age 1 had a space and the other an underscore in their name. The devs changes the names to 01 Prov_Name and 02 Prov Name

We warred a KD earlier this age that had two very similar very similar, I messaged David and they added 01 and 02 to the beginning of their names to make it easier - no more bounces or wasted intel.

I could dump a bag of thermometers in the middle of a busy intersection and laugh about winning at life. Knowing that the world comes to a stop whenever some mercury might be spilled...

So it's clever in the same game where I never hit unprovoked with my army home by bigger kingdoms and retaliate because it's funny to see the powerful standing on black banana peels.

Tommy can you hear me?! :D

I prefer it when Bishop would be clever and given them names like "Fred" and "Ginger"
"having fun warring when you have whoring and number 1 as a goal is totally pointless..." - Korp
"while I heart shiester when we both play serious and are in the same kingdom, I hate shiester on the forums and pretty much disagree with everything he says. Even he knows this." - Flogger asking me out on a date

The devs have made a decision to kill competitive utopia and have thereby killed my interest with it.

Agreed. It was much more interesting when Bishop got creative with renaming.
