    Hi I have a question. How would undead rouge work? would it get all the opps? or just the Intel one?

    In the past undead rogues have had access to all ops, I assume that would remain unchanged.

    Undead is too powerful.

    Why bring them back just to dominate an entire age again?

    I'd like to say, well done. But this update, while certainly big an impressive, is crap. You not only try to implement a whole intel store, but also a whole chat system. It's too much, it's crazy and adds nothing to the core game except too much overhead which will result in even slower development of the actual game. For "big" changes the race/personality changes are rather lacklustre, i really expected werewolves to be there :/

    Orc and Faery are overpowered outliers. Especially Faery. Why play anything else? Let's start with making the other races better, then we can swing back to them.

    Elf needs IA/IS/SI (and maybe TW & WSmite) as a toolkit and then Paladin can be removed along with its spell bloat. Should keep the +1 defensive specialist and have the elite toned down to 7/3 or even 7/2. This way Elf has potential for an interesting hybrid+kd buffer. Faery doesn't leave much space for another mage/hybrid. Should consider letting Elf fill that role.

    Avian can lose the +1 defensive spec and get the slightly better 8/3 elite .

    Dwarf seems pretty terrible in every way. Replace the hard-hitting WPA penalty with a TPA penalty, elite to 7/5, replace -40% Construction Time with Building and Raze Cost Reduction.

    Halfling cannot really use the merc bonuses, they cannot sustain combat. They lose the population bonus and their military numbers are even worse. They need a good defensive elite. Renamed to Gnome just for swagger!

    Human probably needs higher off on elite, maybe 5/7. Add another penalty.

    Undead feels like a trap. It simply cannot work with current desertions. Lower the science penalty, drop the specs penalty and the no training of elites. Remove the population bonus and tone down the elite.

    Now, back to Faery. It needs a big penalty considering the combos it opens up. Slap a -10% population penalty on it instead of the income penalty at the very least. Potential 1 general loss to kill attacking as -BR is not that impressive on a t/m. Spells probably need to change to Racial, not All (and someone gets RM?).

    Orc doesn't really have a penalty since they're not going to be played as hybrids. Consider adding one of the following: no/half honor bonuses, no building credits gained in combat, a real WPA/TPA penalty.


    Elite networth: I use a .75*off + 1*def value system, rounded up or down (sometimes, exceptions are needed).

    Q: Feary Spell book: "All spells excluding Paladin spells".... includes the Mystic and Heretic and other personality specific spells as well?

    Wow! That changes are impressive and awesome!! I have no idea what to expect, this is great!!

    EDIT: Also, Orc no longer has Reflect Magic...does anyone? (Faeries only?)
    EDIT: Heretic is overpowered by far when it comes to TMs. Why go anything Mystic, when you can just do Faery/Heretic - still get the Meteor Showers, and more likely land them. +25% WPA on Heretic should go to Cleric, and +25% TPA on Heretic should go to tactician. (Then give Heretic something else to compensate)

    EDIT (IMPORTANT): I know you haven't posted the science changes yet...but please please please, if you haven't turned it back from the cube root function, please do so. Rather than cube root, leave it square root - but nerf the multipliers. This is a huge deal for provinces/kingdoms who really try to pump their science. It should pay off. Cute root makes it so someone who never pumped it at all won't be too far from someone who really did pump hard.

    Get rid of -25% birth on Faery, give it -5% pop. drop the elite back down to 3/8 or 4/7. it needs a nerf from its current iteration.


    Also, make schools and universities the same building with combined bonuses. both are underpowered.

    Give halfer at least a 5/6 elite, as is it'll get owned by everyone and with no hospitals you'll bleed troops

    So you're saying, just change everything back to what it was...

    I feel like everything got nerfed/changed so much and it's exciting to make things work with what's been given. Sure there can be some balancing, but you're saying to just revert everything to what it was and that's no fun. :/

    No, I'm saying some things are just utterly broken (Faery). And some are garbage. The power level disparity is huge. Part of the changes are in line with my proposed changes. But there are many things to fix. I'm glad Cleric is included, I got lazy and forgot about it.

    i mean the spirit of the changes are good and i love the overall shotgun aproach to the races, but the actualy changes have to be a joke.

    halfing:
    is unusable with 0 hosptials unless u put it 100% safe, which is unlikely as it has a garbage military
    -maybe give hostials but lower BE 5% and they might be workable
    Undead:
    -will forever be running 10-15% leets with the way overpop works so basically its unless. +20% just makes 5/5 to 6/6 and a few leets mixed in means its a slow avain with sustain bleh.
    - Suggest: Trainiable leets, -30% military losses and Leet losses on successful attacks are converted to offense specs.---ooor just leets do not desert due to overpop
    Human:
    -the leet/offense just doesnt mix, even if science scaled super high its meh.
    --only real way to take em would be +5% pop and push leet to 5/7
    Elf:
    -is gimmicy, but likely the best attacker after orc
    -- probubly fine if the leet nw were more on par with orc
    orc:
    - is a strong attacker and likely outshines elf as attacker only due to +pop and leet nw
    Avain:
    -interesting concept but i cant see using it in any meaningful way nor any to balance
    dwarf:
    probubly a base for what we should aim the races to balance to,
    feary:
    -theres just no way its not the strongest at everything. i cant really even balance around it because no other race can be a t/m, only halfer has +mods but its military wont get it safe from orc and 0 hosptials means death.


    Personalities are likley fine but
    heretic/mystic/rogue balance will be very science dependent, to easy of a scaling and theres no reason to pick heretic, to low a scaling and i'd almost always go heretic.
    war hero:
    - i miss the +1 to offspec, i'd suggest swaping it in +1 offspec, +100% Valor and remove the the +heroism and dragon immunity
    -dragon immunity was nice for a while but a bleh mechanic for full on war kds and ghetos alike.
