Since you brought up banking, it's not uncommon for two memebers of the same household to share a bank account (isp). My wife and I found that quite useful when I worked as an over the road truck driver for a few years. I could deposit cash into her account to pay bills when I was away and unable to do it. Had the bank failed to honor the deposit and she been unable to pay the bills because we shared the account, we likely would have taken our funds elsewhere.

So now you see 2 players who happen to share the same isp not only equivalent to multi's, x-loggers, farmers and other cheaters, at least in the way you seem to feel we should be treated, but now we apparently are as undesirable as frauds, check kiters and other criminals. Gives me a real warm and fuzzy to know how highly you regard the apparently small minority I happen to be a part of.

Banks would never allow a system that would let one person access another person's account without verifying their identity and confirming they had access to that account on every single transaction. Such a system is certainly not plausible in gaming either. Your analogy isn't even correct, it would be more suited for 2 players logging one province at one location, which would never trigger cheat detection. These analogies are unrelated, there is no point continuing them to be honest. Like Bishop says, back on topic.

I made a very simple statement that multiple players at one location is a privilege, it is. It used to be an auto-deletable offense. However, your disagreement with that statement doesn't mean I will allow personal attacks. That is your one warning.

The system is not targeting whitelister abuse, it is targeting wide scale cheating, which also encompasses whitelister abuse.

I think a better analogy would be soccer matches.
Fans/visitors (players of utopia) from all over the place come to a certain city to watch a game in a stadium or just visit the city. After various riots by hooligans (cheaters), spoiling the spectators/visitors fun afternoon/evening (game) and causing trouble (cheating) in the city center, destroying shop windows and what not, the mayor decides it's been enough and imposes a group prohibiting law (dunno the english word for that).
This law forbids (blocks) people to gather above a certain amount of people in an area around the stadium and in the city center for a certain amount of time around the match.
This law affects both the people causing riots and the people that came visit the area without any malicious intentions.
It's sad that it has to come to that, but it's intention is clear. Limit the options for the bad guys (cheaters) to cause trouble (cheat). The discomfort for the visitors (the couples) of not being able to gather outside the stadium is a relativly small price to pay for giving all of them better security. They can however still visit the city/stadium and gather indoors (limitations/exceptions) and feel protected by the law/police.
And ofcourse the police doesn't stop patroling the area for foes, just as this system doesn't mean the devs/bishop stop checking patterns or whatever means to stop the hooligans.

Yeah, sure it is....What do you NOT understand about you WILL NOT STOP CHEATING! There are many people smarter than your "devs" that will find ways around whatever you do. Since it isn't targeting white lister abuse why not KEEP IT?

to azartyn, i need to defend the mod here or anyone who thinks they mods just ban anyone who challenges back, if you think so, search for all my post, i did challenge them when i felt they were wrong, but the way you guys type are imo 80% personal feeling flames and 20% real thought. if you guys want to states your rights, you have to have something to backup, not just purely flame the mods/devs, they are just trying to manage this forum, dont get this personal.
