I made a foolish $50 bet about 6 months ago after a few bottles of wine. Long story short, a few months later the results were in and I lost, which once sober I fully expected. I paid out the $50, and my friend used it to take us out to dinner since he thought I would not honor my drunken wager. Respect is priceless.

Most amusing fact in this story for me is that when Proteus ran his big mouth and offered "bet" to community it was absolutely 100% pure bluff, coz Proteus had no intel of neither Sanc nor MA. KuhaN just cought Mr. Big Mouth on his bluff and only then Proteus realized that he can be punished for running his big mouth, so he started getting intel on MA, but it was already late...
Now community can just laugh @ Proteus and his dogs, who r currently trying to find any excuse to not pay. At least that's what I am doing atm ;)

Well poll is still 90% in favor of KuhaN... but to be fair I bet most of those peasants never took contract law.
What we witnessed in the Sanc vs MA thread was Proteus running his math, KuHaN showing willingness to call his bluff, then no bet materializing.
If someone says I bet xx on xx and another person accepts the bet it sure is a bet..
So, some people would rather lose their word before losing 100$... wait what?

There is/was no time limit to when the money was to be transfered to ASF. It could and should be transfered when ASF is available but as Kuhan won there is no need for him to transfer. Proteus should transfer to ASF then it gets forwarded on.

The bet and the payment conditions were separate. Kuhan put $100 on AMA, Proteus accepted. The third party crap was only to work out payment, the bet is still a bet. There was no "if, then" condition that if a third party did not hold the money then there is no bet. I don't know why we're still talking about this. Everyone knows Proteus punked out and his word has no value, so we should just move on.

As you can see, the bet was accepted. Then started the discussion of how to recieve the payment. It doesnt say that there was a need for a third party to make the bet valid.Kuhan yes I am in. If you want we can both transfer our money to ASF and he will pay the proceeds to winner.
