Since I've been where I currently am we've had a "no cheating rule." The kingdom has been built on defects and newbs. I can't honestly say if I knew for sure that the defects didn't trade their accounts in their old kingdom before coming to us, but we've had a no cheating rule. We were able to gain players because active people want to play for us. People liked the idea of doing 2x plunders/learns a day OOW and 2-3 attacks a day in war.

Because your kingdom had to cheat to keep its players motivated to play for them doesn't mean everyone had to even in this day and age.

Well, exactely my point. You can't prove, neither can I. Nobody can, unless was the exact subject and even then how he can do that without access to IP's and other stuff.

On the other hand there are numerous testimonies from players all around Utopia, from kingdoms at levels, who say that they knew about trading in their kingdom. But let's not start the whole discussion again. Let's just conclude that trading was so widespread, that the new owner, OMAC, saw no reason to continue banning it.

Sweetipie's continous yapping and her long grudge against Catwalk is based on the fact that CW openly admited to have traded, wich in her eyes was something like a blasphemy. You see, she was probably bothered by his sincerety so she found a goal on this boards, to blame him for the trades and of course every time she has no arguments and CW shows he is better than her, she HAS to resort to that to protect her fragile ego.

The fact that there probably exists one or two trades in her own kingdom wich spoils her pureness, doesn't seem to bother her, neither that in fact CW never said that he would have x-logged or farmed, wich are the true crimes in the community's eyes.

Sweetipie, paired with VT and a few others, just trow out fabrications and lies... and why? Because one guy had the strenght to openly call things on their name.

LOL just to state something before my rant i "hate" Catnub and what he stand for and i cant say we agree alot.

But one thing is sure there is no bigger idiot or asshole on the borads of utopia then you v2nub, not only do you brag lie cheat you also look down on others for same, you are a knowen cheater even bye own words, but still have the balls to call CW that in every topic.

Let me give you a lil history lesson for a new guy like your self, back in the days when utopia was new there was a guy called Catwalk trolling the forums talking about trading was bad and how the only way to play was not cheating, the guy had alot of ideas and alot of new players saw him as a wise and truthfull player for his moral, hell even i repected him, he then went away for some time (i think) then came back with a new set of moral, cheating as hell BUT that is not the real problem the real problem is he lied about it, he would not admit to it at first, and he even had the balls to just like you look down on people for it (while he was doing it him self) - Sound like a guy you know ... WAIT you.

Now days CW is atleast truthfull about it (more then we can say about you) and he is slowly getting some of the repect back due to his work showing new players the way (might be for own benefit, but that is beside the point).

Anyways my point was you 2 are alot alike just CW has grow up and you are still in kiddi fase.

I quit the game, was away for about 3 years and didn't think I'd be returning. Then found myself with an account one day at the start of age 26.

Not correct. I played for 5 rounds in 3 kingdoms without cheating. First two kingdoms as a normal player, third kingdom is the above mentioned that I built from scratch. I did trade in one player into the last kingdom, for the first time. Not for my sake, but because he had just failed to take over a kingdom from an incompetent monarch and was losing interest in Utopia. I felt sorry for him and would like to give him a positive experience. After two rounds in that kingdom I got frustrated with internal tensions that I was unable to handle, and decided to accept an invitation from Pleasure Palace. Both because I wished to compete at a higher level, and because I wished to relinquish leadership responsibilities to play as a normal player again. As irony would have it, the monarch then went missing in action a week after my arrival and I was thrust into a leadership position which eventually led to me taking over Fight Club.

I lied about nothing, and after trading in that one player I did in fact cease posting about trading in public. I did consider it an exception at the time and hadn't changed my stance on trading or kingdom policy, but I didn't feel it justified to keep criticizing others after making that exception.

As stated above, this is not correct. I have never lied about my doings in Utopia. If you're referring to a multi incident, that was according to the express wishes of the monarch of the other kingdom, a small warring kingdom without achievements. The story about that is that I got deleted in Fight Club because of poor trading (done before my arrival) and decided to take a province in the kingdom of a close friend, not expecting a Danish account to become available and not knowing anything about proxies at the time. I was still leading my kingdom during this period. I played in the other kingdom for 2 rounds before finding out about proxies, and decided to return when there was an opportunity. I did run two provinces for about half a round while deciding what to do, not happy with the arrangement and feeling trapped in dual obligations. And not enjoying having to manage two provinces either, sucked pretty bad at both. Maybe that's when I started losing interest in province management.

I do not consider it immoral from a game perspective to play in two kingdoms, if they're kept strictly apart. The game does not suffer from it. I do consider it immoral from a KD perspective to have divided loyalties, and I have never tolerated anyone in my kingdom playing in two kingdoms. Quite a few have asked over the years.

As for why I changed my stance on trading, I'll post about that later as I'm getting ready to go out. I still believe in fair play and sportsmanship, and I still maintain many of my reservations about the effects of trading on the game.
