Make greater protection 'greater' for real, by making it lower losses, or give 6-8% increased defense, rather than 5%.

anyway, I suggest we keep the amount of changes to a minimum this age also, tweaking the game just a bit etc like you've been doing. and for the next genesis age I would go nuts with changes, perhaps add a new race and have genesis act as a test-server for wol.

elves are much like dwarves, on their own, nothing special, get a kd of the buggers, and you better be prepared for a world of hurt
All-elf gets destroyed by all-dwarf.
Then again, everything gets destroyed by all-dwarf.
Don't forget that it takes a billion years for the elf to reach its peak, while human and dwarf will be there really fast - same with gnome, although gnome isn't even nearly as strong.

How exactly does DW get there faster than Elf, with poorer science and almost double the elite cost?
Elf plunders quicker, gets more sci for the same money, less troop losses on plunders, more able to steal GC...
HU on the other hand, completely agree.
30% better buildings equals 30% better banks, barracks - what have you.
The elf doesn't have the income needed to get anywhere fast, and takes a lot of maintenance and babysitting to be used effectively.
Human's just dead-hard, but it's not as strong this age as dwarf, or a properly used elf.

60% Draft puts a DW wages at around 50% of their income, so Elf effectively has double the income leftover for growth/sci with their half wages.
DW is strong with BE and free buildings, but I think Elf just about tops it.
Yes a properly played Elf is stronger then dwarfs. But it takes constant babysitting to get it there as well as maintaining it. I still say give orcs there 6 def spec back + 5-10% chance of giving plague when being thieved.
Elf: Increased exploration cost from DE and increase magic Eff to 35% during war-everything else the same
DE: add MS and instead of increased cost of exploration give them increased mana cost to dicing 1.50% more mana per cast-everything else the same
Orcs: change Elites to 8/3. give them a immunity to Fog spell, and access to restricted and normal draft only with restricted free/normal at restricted rate-everything else the same
Humans: change self spell failure to offensive spell failure only and give them access to immunity to Fog spell-everything else the same
Gnomes: access to MS and Fog -everything else the same
Dwarfs: no access to Anonymity spell , access to immunity to Fog spell, and access to NM-everything else the same
Mystic: remove access to MS, no rune decay, and +1 mana recovery-everything else the same
Shepherd: no food needed instead of food per acre gain, everything else same
War Hero: reduced losses by 20% in war and OOW 10%. greater enemy losses by 10% in war and OOW 5%-everything else the same
Warrior: -20% attack times in war and -10% attack times OOW-everything else the same
Rogue: no changes
Merchant: access to CS during war-everything else the same
Sage: +5% science effects during war-everything else the same
Artisan: +5% BE during war-everything else the same
lower attack times by 10% during war across the board
increase learn attack gainse by 25% during war
make all attacks gain honor during war
remove Honor losses during war
remove honor gains for attacks and ops OOW
Increase Honor gains for war win
Lower honor gains for individual attacks and ops during war( this will put more emphasis on winning and stop honor whoring
give honor losses that were daily for warring to both kds if war ends in MP
Remove intra kd razing or make it same as normal raze destroys buildings only(prevent land drops)
Give monarch access to kill province that has been inactive for over 96 utopian days

has anyone mentioned fluffies yet? i think Dragons need improving...ive never actually seen any of my buildings destroyed by a dragon or peasants killed in my daily news.....has anyone else? if this isnt a bug, make it so they actually do both these things!
off the top of my head sugg to get the ball rolling:
ruby: -10% ME
emerald: -20% gains, +20% mil losses
sapphire: -30% failure t/m ops & include 10% failure self spells too?
gold: -25% BE
in addition to actually destroying a certain % of buildings and killing a certain % of peasants!
Colourless green ideas sleep furiously.
Dont make any Dragon Stronger other than Sapphire, make it 25% flat rate failure to all ops and spells rather than reducing effectiveness and also make it reduce damage from ops and spells by 25%
The building/peasants killed by Dragon is represented by the economy penalty, if you want actual damage then you should remove that.
Kill or Improve Artisan. Possible bonuses include:
-Less (or No) DBE
-Less workers needed for max BE
-Increasing Building Effects (not BE)
Add a Necromancer Personality with some of these bonuses:
-Converts a portion of combat losses to elites
-Constant Animate Dead effect on all attacks
-Spreads and is Immune to the plague (compensate orcs)
-Access to certain spells (Like Nightmare, Fog, or even new spells)
just add a Diamond Dragon that is a combo of two dragons of choice at triple cost, but is only 75% strength of other dragons.
